Joop Thai Restaurant

At first I thought the menu was quite expensive (much more than the takeaway menu) but then once the food arrived I understood why. The servings were not only large (much bigger than a takeaway size), but they took me back to Thailand with probably the best Thai food I’ve had in Australia. The flavours! I would definitely recommend dinning at Joop!

Staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was really nice too.

Mains (eg noodles & curries) started from around $25 each for veg,tofu option, more for meat or seafood.
Medium steamed rice (large portion) was $9

The food was amazing and came out at a good time, the dish tasted amazing and we shared it between three, good portion sizes.
I ordered a Bailey's with milk and I asked for it in one of their martini glasses and the bartender prepared it wonderfully.

Get takeaway from here a lot dined in with relatives last time very nice experience, food presented and tasted great busy night but drinks and starters come out fast share plate style eating and can takeaway your leftovers.
Has a nice ambience and Great Bar set up also, Highly Recommend.

My daughter picked this restaurant for her 11th birthday dinner. She had an amazing time and said it’s now her favourite. The most delicious quality and fresh food, huge portions (we had enough for lunch the next day), the service the minute you walk through the door until you leave is great, and the atmosphere is comfortable and enjoyable. Pricing is adequate for the quality and quantity. Family of 4 and everyone loved it. We will be back again.

Amazing food and very generous servings - first time ever we’ve asked for a doggy bag! Fresh, authentic and full of flavour. Another great thing is you can order individual entrée pieces, so you can have as many different ones as you want!

After a long day travelling, we booked a table for 2 at Joop Thai. Arrived a little early and despite the Covid-19 seating issues, we were seated promptly. Delightful decor, and well a presented menu. The table water served chilled and was given time to order. We ordered mains 3way Duck, a Chicken Red curry and a entree of seafood Tom Yum.
A little wait 20min, but the food presentation was sublime. See photos.
There was no hovering by the waitstaff, letting us enjoy our meal. Sometimes your Eyes are bigger than your Belly at the plentiful portion size, so we finished with a doggie bag.
A GREAT MEAL, and a real hidden Gem of Albany.

Probably one of the best restaurants I tried in Australia and definitely the best Thai restaurant in Albany. The food is amazing and the staff is so friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

Amazing service, lovely staff too. Extremely fast service and delicious food. Beautiful seating and nice atmosphere. 10/10 place I highly recommend. Families welcome and overall a highly pleasant experience.

Nice deco and good taste with all dishes. Good for a group to share with different dishes. The veggies come in dishes a bit too hard to bite but nice in color. Staffs and very friendly

Authentic Thai food 😌 Tamarine fish was the best! Green curry chicken was on average. Beef salas was so fresh and tasty. Tom yong was so good. Pad thai was really delicious. 😋

It was the best meal. We were hanging out for some veggies and Joop delivered. It was fresh, tasty and value for money. The meals are quite large so be frugal when ordering. Service was quick as. No sooner we had the drinks, the meals were delivered. We were in and out in 30 mins. Highly recommend if you like thai🙌

Clean, Tidy, Warming, Large Tasty Meal sizes, Good Friendly Staff, made me think of back Home Chiang Mai, Thailand

We returned last night after an absence of 8 years, still the best Thai food anywhere in Australia including Melbourne, one request PLEASE, please warm the plates it’s a sin to put such beautiful food on a cold plate !!!!

Got a takeaway drunken noodle Pad Kee Mao hot. Oh my days, proper hot. Not tourist hot, not Albany hot, Thai hot. Big serve great price. 👍🏼
