The Blooms Melbourne course was fantastic. Jacqueline gives very clear instructions and lots of practical help. The organisation was excellent and the food prepared and provided by Jac was delicious. It was a fun and informative class, which I highly recommend.

FRENCH ART SCHOOL at La Foret du Temple France with Jacqueline Coates. Wonderful accomodation in a delightful village with a French chef and chauffeured trips to mind blowing gardens, castles, châteaus and the countryside. Artistic inspiration everywhere, including Jac’s studio where we painted in acrylics and then outdoors en plein air in oils. Great food, French champagne and wonderful company. As I said many times “c’est le bonheur” - this is bliss.

The painting course was fantastic and so inspiring. Jac was very generous with her time and her instructions and demonstrations were easy to follow. I cant wait to continue my painting journey with her and have already enrolled in an online workshop.

My Blooms journey with Award-winning Australian Artist Jacqueline Coates has included studio classes in Sydney, French Art School, participation in a number of the Bloom's programs, a 5-day Barossa Valley Residency, and online classes...and that's just for starters! Jacqueline has 30+ years experience as a painter, teacher and subject matter expert. Her workshops are totally immersive experiences designed to inspire confidence in her students - regardless of any prior painting experience - to aim for maximum impact! And although Jac's local and international in-house classes are on hold for the time being, her Bloom's Method online classes & painting sessions are a great way to fall in love with painting big beautiful blooms all over again, learn lots and meet 'Bloomers' from all around the world. Highly Recommended!

What a fabulous workshop ! Jac is a great teacher. I learnt so much in the three days AND I have a completed painting. I wish I had done the workshop earlier and I'm already looking top see what workshop I could do next. Jac is an absolute whizz with colour and composition. I couldn't recommend the workshop highly enough.

I have taken several of Jacqueline’s courses and I highly recommend them to everyone—whether you are a seasoned professional or an absolute beginner; plus, everyone in between! When you take one of her courses, you will immediately see why she is both an award winning artist AND award winning teacher. Her trademarked methods have proven successful for thousands of her students all over the world. She breaks the painting process down into steps that anyone can understand and learn to implement. You will be amazed at the quality of work you will be able to make. Jacqueline is a generous teacher, sharing her decades of painting experience with her students to accelerate their progress. She offers gentle, but encouraging & informative critiques of your work to help you improve and move forward. Best of all, Jacqueline gives you the confidence to know & believe that you can be the artist you dream to be.

I’d never painted before and always wanted too but nerves and head noises got the better of me. I didn’t know where to start. Jac gave me the courage to give it a crack and I haven’t looked back!! So happy I got out of my comfort zone. Jac really broke it all down to bite size pieces where you really cannot fail. I’ve had some really wonderful experiences over the last eight years with her and painting and will continue to do so. Thrilled.

I first saw Jacqueline Coates painting live at the Adelaide Rose Festival many years ago and was immediately hooked by her style and passion. I avidly followed her career via the socials and her website, and although it took me way too long, I finally booked into the four-day Barossa, How to Paint Blooms at the end of 2019. It was such a fantastic experience! The program was well structured, and I learnt skills that set me up to keep painting on my own at home (of course, I also came away with two beautiful large blooms paintings!).

Since then, I have participated in the online 52 Week How to Paint Blooms and the Freestyle Cream Roses programs. I also attended the Blooms Landscapes day in the beautiful surrounds of God’s Hill Wines vineyard that included tasting some delicious wines and indulging in great food to boot, and I am currently working through the Make Money from Art (MMFA) program. I have LOVED / am LOVING them all.

My technique continues to improve as I progress with the MMFA program under Jac’s guidance and advice.

Not only have Jacqueline’s painting programs kept me coming back for more, but I have also developed much more confidence and motivation. I am extremely grateful for what I have learned from her; what I have got from these courses far outweighs any other art courses I have taken part in.

Jac is a talented artist, teacher, and mentor, and I highly recommend her for anyone, from beginners to experienced artists.

First found Blooms painting method on Facebook and showed my sister to which we both booked in for the 3 day Sydney course together. We were both blown away by the easy to follow process and Jacquelines excellent painting methods. They have taught me there is a much easier quicker and faster way to paint. After more than 10 years away from painting it was a wonderful way to get back behind the easel and to come home with a beautiful finished work of art!!! I hope to join the MMFA program in the next couple of months but have signed up for an online workshop in the meantime to keep the momentum going. Look forward to painting my way into the future. Thanks so much Jac. Xx

It's taken me a couple of weeks to write this review because I truly can't say enough good things about Jacqueline Coates and the Blooms Painting Method. It really is No Fail.

I always wanted to be an artist - but never had the confidence or skills to give it a proper go. Like a lot of people, I got a job and just started working (and ignoring my dream). Attending Jac's classes was amazing. Jac's method of painting takes you from a blank canvas right through to a completed work of art with depth and beautiful rich colours.

I'm proud to say that I now have three large completed works hanging in my home that all my visitors comment on. My fourth work was loved by a friend so much that I gifted it to her for Christmas. Three people actually had their hearts set on it!

Now I'm working through the online master class and it is PERFECT with the country in isolation. I love the new web based platform and the live sessions - just like heading in to a class but with social distancing. It's reaffirmed the lessons learned in the classes, plus I get to do it all in my lounge room. Love that!

Thank you so much Jac. Without what I've learned from you, I would still be dreaming of being an artist, instead I'm on the journey.

I attended the 4 1/2 days workshop in Melbourne during June 2021. Jacqueline is a gifted artist and, importantly for students, a wonderful teacher who can explain a process in a way that can followed by students of all abilities. All participants took home lovely artworks that they should be proud to display. Coming away from this workshop I felt inspired to continue my painting journey. The food was delicious too!

Doing the Blooms Course with Jacqueline Coates has been an amazing journey. Starting to paint again after 30 years had me nervous and self doubting but with her guidance and techniques I am gaining so much more confidence and over the last 12 months have come ahead in leaps and bounds. The new online platform is fantastic and it is so good to be able to be able to do the workshops with others in the course , be reviewed in real time and mentored by Jac.Looking forward to learning more and taking my art to the next level.

Jac is a wonderful teacher who is passionate about helping her students to really develop their skills in painting large blooms. Always developing new ways to assist her students, she strives to provide a high quality experience.
I was fortunate to attend the Blooms 1 & 2 workshops in person, continuing on with the Blooms Masterclass, which have both been incredible learning experiences. Thanks Jacqueline for your dedication and passion to teaching.

I attended a one-day Blooms Coastal Painting Workshop with Jacqueline Coates, held at Rosebud on the Mornington Peninsula. Jacqueline is a talented artist and gifted teacher who explained how to create coastal paintings from scratch with a very easy to follow methodology. Jacqueline provided expert guidance and painting demonstrations throughout the day and all participants came away with a beautiful series of seascapes. Thank you Jacqueline! I’m looking forward to attending another workshop in future.

A couple of years ago I completed the sensational ‘How to Paint Blooms” online course, and I absolutely loved it. I have learned so much, starting from how to mix your own colours through to how to hold your brush etc and it’s been invaluable. I also completed the Paris Rose short course during Victoria’s lockdown No.1 in the Pandemic, and that with the zoom classes during lockdown was fabulous as it was as if we were together in one of Jac’s classes in person, which I very much hope to do one day. I have also signed up for the Fresh Blooms course and cannot wait to start! I have an elbow injury at the moment, but prior to this I pretty much painted every day and I absolutely LOVE it and if I don’t I really miss it. It has changed my life! Jac’s teaching style is absolutely wonderful as is the valuable feedback received when your work is submitted for critique. I will one day hopefully do more classes as I love Jac’s teaching style and I am loving every minute. I would absolutely and positively recommend any of Jac’s classes, you will not regret it - once you start you will not be able to stop!

I have learnt so much from Jacqueline Coates in her Blooms courses. Her knowledge about painting and colour theory is amazing and her constant encouragement in developing your skills as an artist is inspiring. But It’s not just about how to paint, it’s the friendly positive environment that makes you yearn for more.

Hello, All! Just popping on here to give a BIG shout out to Jacqueline Coates and her wonderful eCourse How To Paint Blooms. I found Jacqueline quite by accident on the internet and that was 2018! She flew to LA in March 2018 for a weekend workshop and I have never looked back!!! Its been alot of fun getting to know Jac and her knowledge, patience, and sense of humor far outweigh any art course I've taken. Now, with the world situation as it is, Jacqui has taken extraordinary measures to update content on both HTPB and MMFA, edit videos for the Masterclasses and plan for Zoom classes world wide! I so appreciate her mentorship and guidance. I had not painted since high school ('71)! Try it, it will change your life!!!

I have "dropped" an enormous hint to my grown up children as to my Christmas gift this year - an online workshop from Blooms Online. I haven't painted a larger canvas before (only dabbled in Folk Art in the 1980's) and have thoroughly enjoyed the experiences. I don't know what fairy god mother directed me to Jacqueline Coates but it has been fabulous. I knew very little of how to work with acrylic paints but Jacqueline's videos with comprehensive information have been invaluable. The finished paintings actually look okay!! Our daughter has requested the trio of the Paris Roses for her bedroom. The additional videos and information available with the workshops are a massive help. A million roses to thank you.
