2023 updated review:
Been here before for dim sum and had pretty bad experience. However, 5 years later, I’ve updated the review from 1 to 5 stars. Enjoyed a lovely dinner with family & friends here. Friendly customer services which makes all the difference to an enjoyable meal. Every dish was well presented and delicious flavours. Fried tooth fish with soy sauce was one of my favourite. They also serve salt pepper squid tentacles in small or large ($24) portions for dinner. They have a room with 2 big tables which would suit private function or party of big groups. I’d recommend getting a reservation before hand just in case as they were packed on the night (New Years day) we dined.

2017 review:
Heard about how the Dim Sums here were so much better than Dragon Palace and is a "must" try. Our 1st dish was the Deep Fried Prawn Dumpling which was just absolutely amazing, definitely better than other dim sum places I have tried. Then the next few dim sum dishes came which I thought was either average or slightly above average. Last dish that came was the Steamed Spare Rib with Black Bean Sauce.... ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED!!! There were absolutely no flavour of the Black Bean let alone the sight of even the tiniest Black Bean. It was so bland, making it the WORST Black Bean Spare Ribs I have EVER TRIED at any dim sum places.
Service was an ABSOLUTE LET DOWN, although staff was friendly, food took forever to come out even though we got there early by 5.20pm. Our last dish "Signature Egg Yolk Bun" NEVER CAME, even after enquiring it with the waiter who said he will find out from the kitchen, it still NEVER arrived. We gave up waiting after a further 20mins and asked for it to be cancelled... but the waitress told us we CAN'T just cancel it like that... WHAT??? You gotta be kidding me!! You don't bring out our dish we ordered, yet you won't allow us to cancel it?? After insisting to cancel the bun, waitress had to go and check with the boss for the ok. Finally when we got up to pay for our bill at the counter (dying to get out of this place, just had enough), only to find they were still charging us for the Egg Yolk bun AND the Steam Rice WHICH NEVER EVER CAME!! Very very disappointed with this place, don't think I'll be going back to this place and definitely won't recommend it to anyone!!

yummy food and good value. the baked bbq pork bun was amazing! we regularly have a family dinner here and it's good. the new location and fitout in 2020 is nice too

Always delicious food and excellent service. Unfortunately we ordered pan fried pork dumplings and found prawn in it, which almost caused an allergic reaction for one our guests

My family and I have been to many restaurants like this one but this is by far the best!!!! They never disappoints and the service is great I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The food, very, very good, top quality, the wontons are actually fresh compared to duck duck bbq house. I liked the noodles, very fresh and very tasty. I like the staff, they gave me a 5% discount. Thank you so much.

Good service , clean and tidy environment

I did my son 17th birthday party there last week and I got to say, Ben the owner of the restaurant was very helpful and friendly to make it happen. He went the extra mile to do everything needed to be done to make the night awesome, the service was spot-on and food was delicious and amazing. This is now my favourite restaurant, I will recommend to my friends,families and customers that I deal with in my business. Thankyou Ben. From ken Doan

Pretty solid dim sum. The prawn dumplings were good, siu mai very good, as were their Shanghai dumplings. Chicken feet were excellent. Fried squid legs were well seasoned and crunchy. Only below average dish we had was the durian mochi balls. There was too much cream and not enough durian. It would be better if they mixed or blended the fruit together with the cream instead of just lightly mixing them together. Otherwise, pretty good dim sum north of the river, at reasonable prices.
