Beautiful family owned business. Service is impeccable, speedy too and the food is like no other. Consistently delicious. The bento boxes are the best value for Japanese food in Melbourne!!!! A must visit casual spot to eat-in or take away.

A hidden gem in the eastern suburbs! Excellent menu offering Japanese classic dishes, cooked skillfully and presented with flair. Great ambience and efficient, friendly service from caring staff. Their sashimi is super fresh and their yakitori is a stand out. Top of my list for lunch and dinner.

Great tasting food, reasonably priced, clean tidy with nice wooden tables and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Greeted with extraordinary kindness in the cold when I was just looking for a cup of warm drink for my girlfriend who was feeling unwell in the library. The previous 2 places I went to turned me down, but when I went to this store, the lovely Japanese lady not only offered me a hot drink that she self made on the spot with actual loose green tea leaves and roasted rice, she just accepted $1 from me due to lack of cash and below the card minimum. My girlfriend was so delighted and felt much better upon drinking it, will come to support this place in the future! Great service !

JJ Sushi is the best Japanese and Sushi restaurant in Melbourne. At very reasonable prices they deliver again and again. The Okonomiyaki is a personal favourite and the Tofu Curry Don is to die for. 10/10

My boyfriend and I were ten cents short of a miso soup and not only were we brought a miso soup with our meal, we were brought two!!! One for free! We sat and talked for hours in the comfy chairs. I strongly recommend this place, I observe many people and friend groups come on a regular basis because the environment is so chill, comfortable and the food is delicious and very affordable. So fresh! Thanks x

To Amelie Gibbs: I’m the staff who served you about the avocado hand rolls, First thanks for giving the feedback, really appreciated that,but I think you had misunderstood the avocado hand roll; we never put mayonnaise in the avocado hand roll originally, and for your order, I also changed the knife in case there are mayonnaise stuck on the knife. So there definitely no mayonnaise in your avocado sushi roll. And then, I think the reason you taste the avocado like with mayonnaise inside, because the brand we used is Reed,which is creamier than Hass. I dropped in for a quick snack. Really great sushi, nice and fresh ingredients. You can tell the difference. I'd recommend for sure. These guys are legit.

Also ask for spicy mayo with your sushi !
