Salvos Stores Camberwell

One of my favourite op-shops. Has great clothing selection and organisation, especially designer and shoes. Huge shop so lots of stuff. Not as much other things, mostly clothes

Although mainly stocked with female fashion, the Salvos opportunity store in Camberwell has a reasonable selection of affordable pre-loved goods including male, female and kid's clothing and shoes, kid's toys, sporting goods, kitchenware, crockery and glassware, artwork, books, DVDs, and some bric-a-brac.

The staff is friendly and very helpful. We found parking in the basement carpark under the Aldi store behind the Salvos store the easiest place to park and did a bit of shopping at Aldi while we were there.

I get most of my non-fiction books from here. Why spend $25 when you can buy used books in good to great condition for $2 - $3.

This shop has pretty friendly volunteers and staff overall. I have bought a few antique items from here, which represented good value at the time. I have to comment that when I attended here to donate quite a few new items, the woman out the back was quite impolite towards me. I was polite to her, as is habitual as well as heartfelt, as my parents raised me to show manners. I explained the items had tags still on them and asked her where she wanted me to put them. She was not the warmest in nature in fact she was fairly rude, however maybe I caught her at a bad moment for her or I unintentionally interrupted her concentration. She would definitely put people off donating if the way she treated me was anything like the way she treats others. I have had a rethink on this and decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. I gave two stars earlier but she doesn't override the fact this is a great store which ploughs funds back to the poor, marginalised and suffering of the Boroondara community of Melbourne. Five stars. 💯

My favourite Salvos by far. Great range of bric-a-brac, furniture, and an expansive books section that is immaculately organised. The staff are friendly and always accept my donations no matter what time of day it is. The manager, Lisa, is really young and brings so much energy into the store every time I go there. Angela may as well drop the second 'a' from her name and just call herself Angel, because she is so sweet and patient with all the customers. I don't think Mittal does much work, but every time I see her she is smiling and being welcoming. Overall I cannot say anything bad about this store, I would recommend it to everyone, and anyone who is thinking of going to the Salvos in Abbotsford because it's bigger should reconsider and come here instead. It's not the size of the store that counts, it's the quality of the people within it.

I wondered why I'd paid $13.45 for sunglasses until I looked later at the Prada label..... staff are friendly, the music enjoyable, and lots of high quality goods some new.

Was able to find some nice pieces of clothing for my wardrobe and the staff were nice and friendly. I visit frequently and would recommend for others to do as well.

This Salvos Store is so full of wonderful bargains, you could spend the rest of your life in there! The volunteers are very friendly and they really make any visit here special.

I trawl the op shops near and far for high quality collectibles and this one is the best I have found, especially for art glass, ceramics and jewellery.

Pleasant customer service, the staff is very lovely, a nice op shop to always count on especially in the inner suburbs.
