I tried the BUSH LAMB AND SWEET POTATO HASH and it was amazing, really GOOD QUALITY meal, excellent service and perfect atmosphere to work or to chill 😎

Been here several times as it is in my neighborhood and got attracted by the crowd that seems to always be inside. Mostly seniors having group events, but some youngsters on their laptop is in the mix, too (me included).

Foods was amazing in both taste and portion-sizes, and I love how they have some good vegan options available.

Atmosphere was cozy and warm, quite decent number of seats available both indoor and outdoor, and service was quick, too. I always came out of there stuffed and happy. Check ‘em out the next time you’re in the area!

Honest, rustic, delicious food. Vibey, friendly, upbeat ambience. A true take of the essence of modern Australian. Neighbours cafe is my wife and I’s local favorite cafe in Melbourne for these reasons!

We live overseas but actively talk about how we’re going to visit here every time we return home.
Absolutely Love this place!

I was very happy with my experience here. I had a fresh fruit juice and chicken salad. Both were extremely fresh and delicious. The serving size was very generous. There is a huge amount of choice on the menu. Service was excellent and the artwork in the back was cute. Il def return and I highly recommend for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Ahhh--masing food here. Such an awesome setup here with take-away orders at the front with some light seating, then a beautiful covered outdoor section for dine in just tucket away out the back. My partner indulges her guilty pleasure of making new furry friends on the turf when we pop in for take-aways, which we're always happy to do because the coffee here is also a 10/10!
The only possible negative here (if I'm trying to be impartial) is that the serving sizes are extremely generous. I don't think we've ever finished everything on the plate in one sitting, although I don't mind asking for a doggy bag as I get to enjoy the top-notch meal for a second time in one day!
Seriously, come here when you're hungry, and you won't have to empty your wallet as they're absolutely reasonably priced meals.

Friendly service and delicious coffee/food (loved the pumpkin, avocado, hummus, & chorizo on toast). A great brunch spot – we’ll be back!

Local cafe with a large dog friendly garden area. Good coffee and one of the few places in St Kilda/Balaclava with a single origin option. The menu is enormous, with the usual Melbourne cafe standards and a lot of variety beyond. This gives a lot of more interesting healthier options than the typical cafe (and I'd expect anyone with dietary needs to have plenty to choose from). Friendly service. But what makes it special is the lovely garden which creates a lovely relaxed atmosphere and neighbourhood vibes.

I ate my late lunch here. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxing. You could eat your meals while admiring the works of local artists. You could also sit outside or stay inside the cafe if the weather is too cold. Also, the services were excellent.

Big serving, amazing ambiance and excellent service. We love this cafe and so does everyone in the neighborhood. Easy to find parking and the food was great!

Lily was super friendly and welcoming, made us feel right at home and was good to talk to. The food was delicious and they catered to my diet (coeliac) well. My fussy chihuahua loved their dog treats. Will be coming back for sure.

The food was great and tasty! Had the açaí smoothie and calamari salad (has a tinge of chilli spice) and loved them both!

They also had really good service! Lily served us and was really sweet 🙂

Great chilled atmosphere, staff were friendly and communicative. There is loads of seating outside (mostly under cover away from the rain today!) which is dog friendly too.
The menu is huge and there were a lot of dishes I would love to have tried for brunch! The portions are generous (yay!), cooked perfectly and served alongside some great coffee. I also think the menu options are great value for money given the size of them.
The only downside to our visit was the coffee arrived about 10 mins after our food due to the front cafe being busy. Not ideal but the staff came to tell us why there was a delay at least. Plus the food made it up for it!
I will definitely visit again to sample something else from the menu!

Firstly, this place has a great vibe. It has a casual setup where you can sit inside our out. It has a place for everyone - you can bring your bike, your dog and there is plenty of room for prams.
The menu is diverse, I'm sure there is something for everyone on it. We had the Smashed Avocado and the French Brioche Toast. They were perfection, every ingredient was fresh and tasty.
The service was lovely and our food was delivered quickly.
Overall a delightful experience! Can't wait to return :)

This place is very unique! Not only does each meal give you enough food for two, the outdoor seating area is super comfortable and refreshing, and did i say unique?
