Probably one of the better banh mi cafes in the city that serve good quality Vietnamese street food.

Tucked away from the busy streets of the Melbourne CBD is this cute Vietnamese stall with outside tables or bar stools at the open window that overlooks the bypassers.

They serve banh mi of every protein, as well as soft rice paper rolls and even salad bowls. I was keen on their traditional sizzling breakfast plate but it is only available at their Carnegie store amongst their 3 other locations!

The highlight is definitely the banh mi, especially the lemongrass beef ($9.50) which is not what I’m used to ordering - you’ll see it more commonly in North Vietnam. Flavour was aromatic and full of depth. The fried chicken banh mi ($10.50) is certainly not your usual banh mi menu item. Breaking all the rules but still hitting the spot with great batter, spices encased in that delicious tiger bread.

Rice paper rolls (~$4) are solid, protein vegie and noodle ratio is much better than that filthy food court Vietnamese franchised establishment. Again, meat is flavourful.

Vermicelli noodles ($16) definitely is very filling and refreshing lunch but definitely needs more pork belly that they do well at.

Comparable to the banh mi stores in Melbourne and the inflated ones specifically in the CBD, this value is hard to find that serve good quality flavourful meats.

Improvements could be made to their bread as it wasn’t stale but moreso not as fresh as that morning bake and if they could add more sauce to their dishes. If they could toast the tiger bread and sauce it up, I see potential for a CBD banh mi outbreak.

They also make their passionfruit custard donuts which left me speechless on my way back home. Good coffee, fast service and a great price to fill you up for lunch.

Definitely visit and get adventurous with your orders! (Pls bring your traditional street food menu to the CBD, people need to understand how hearty Vietnamese food can be!

Many thanks from a proud Vietnamese Australian 🙏

Small but cozy shop with both in and outdoor seating located within the CBD. Their service is fast and the food are easy to eat pretty convenient for a quick bite or work lunch. Their crispy chicken live up to it’s name with real crispy coating but tender on the inside. What I love the most is that the sauce on the banh mi was evenly spread out, you can taste it in every bite but definitely didn’t overpower the flavours of the meat, for our orders, it’s chicken and beef. As for the drinks, very lovely! We had matcha and my classic favourite, flat white prepared by the friendly baristas.

I really loved the cappuccino here. Espresso and milk, perfect combination. I also ordered a mini crackling pork banh mi roll with chilli. This was really good too. They have many variations of banh mi, rice paper rolls and pastries. Vegetarian options are there too.

Easy going Vietnamese eats! Totally love their banh mi baguette which is freshly made themselves. The fillings are so generous! Absolutely recommend their passionfruit custard donut which is literal mouthgasm

There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants in Melbourne but none I've frequented have been as fresh tasting as the menu selection here. It's like Roll'd but better. The banh mi tiger bread is the best I've ever tried.. Which made sense after I found out that they make it themselves! And expecting the honey pork to be my favourite, I was surprised when I couldn't get enough of the lemongrass beef. The crackling pork bun bowl also impressed even. More so if you can score yourself some extra hoisin sauce to add to it. The crispy chicken banh mi wasn't my fav but for a novelty take on a traditional Viet sanga, it's worth a try... Other than the bread though there is nothing banh or mi about it. The rice paper rolls make for a great guilt-free snack and not so guilt-free but the best finisher to this spread, the passionfruit cream puff is decadent and filled. So filled. So very deliciously filled..

Deliciously tasty bahn mi. I had the tofu which was exquisite. A little disappointed the faux duck wasn't available (and was more expensive than all the meat options). That said, would go back for more.

This is actually a really great find in the middle of the courts district. The banh mi are excellent and the crispy pork belly is an excellent starting point. The vermicelli bowls are great, and the spicy tofu version is really really fab. They're doing a little twist on cafe sua da too with caramel and hazelnut flavours. Yeah it's a bit different but very delicious. Have been about three times and the staff are seriously smooth and quick. The juice options are excellent too. A great little escape from the offices when I want to meet a friend for lunch and sit down.

I go here every morning for my coffee and breakfast on my way to work and I am always so impressed.
The staff are all very friendly and polite. Food aside i believe that the success to a great business is frinedly and approachable staff.
The food is also great and reasonably priced and in line with other cafe's in the area.
Highly recommend it!
