Recently tried their new promotional set meals – they're offering four different sets daily, each comes with a complimentary drink or soup, all for just $22. The portions are still generous, making it great value for money. Highly recommend!

I have never like roast duck. I finished all the roast duck here. Had the most roast duck in my life. The charsiu is also very good. Portion is big. Recommended.

The most outstanding restaurant for Cantonese cuisine (especially roasted pork and the roasted duck which can be commonly seen in other HK or Guangdong restaurants) in my opinion.

I had enough of Korean over last few days so it was funny to see a Hong Kong Resto in Rose lane. The swearing and canto songs in the backdrop was definitely the ambience I'm after when it comes to a HK diner. I had the brisket tendon rice and thought the brisket was done really well but the tendon def have room for improvement 😊

Although the highlight for me was the french toast... Oh my godddddd it was good but so devilish!!!!

I will be back soon to try other desserts and mains !!

I wish I discovered this place earlier. Everything served there was perfect and delicious. Price might be a little bit higher than other restaurants that serve this Hong Kong style food but the quality is much higher and portion is generous to justify the price. Our favourites were the crispy fish fillet tomato egg rice, deep fried chicken maryland and crispy pineapple (bolo) bun.

Food factory is one of the best HK/Cantonese style restaurants in Melbourne CBD. The food is delicious and authentic, portions sizes are good and quite good value for money. The restaurant is set out in a traditional HK cafeteria style. The beef brisket hotpot was hearty, tasty and the meat was really tender. Get in early for the popular roasts!

Good services standard with high food quality for typical Hong Kong food. Disappointed on their signature dish was not available.

Ordered typical Hong Kong milk tea with coffee with a bowl of fresh mixed fish ball noodles soup.

a hidden gem on this side of the city: extremely authentic Hong Kong classic home food dishes. even their takeaway did not disappoint. there was a decent number of guests dining in on a Tues night- plenty of seats (no out door seating). prices were fair given the quality of food was high- eg the dumplings/ seafood balls tasted home made (not factory mass produced), the wantan noodles texture was QQ (appropriately chewy-bouncy), hofan noodles were silky smooth. soup was umami savoury and sweet without any excessive saltiness. the egg waffles were fresh, fluffy on the inside and delicately crispy on the outside (without being hard). i’ll be back to try other dishes. casual ambiance. efficient and professional service. it could possibly rival, if not beat, any other casual style HK cafe eatery in Melbourne!

Authentic HK flavours, excellent service. Long line outside shop but quick turnover. Recommend beef offal, chicken feet clay pot, melon soup.

牛杭腩 (translated as either beef brisket or beef short rib - I believe the latter is more accurate) is a cut prized in HK but not commonly seen/heard/mentioned in these parts. Was so happy to try it at Food Factory and it was absolutely delicious. So soft and tender with great beef flavour. The broth was slightly herbal-tasting and went fabulously with steamed rice.

Also got a takeaway siu yuk (roast pork belly) and charsiu (BBQ pork) set and they were stil so succulent and tasty the next day, which is just testament to the quality of their Cantonese BBQ meats. Usually when you have siu yuk, there will be some juicy pieces and a few dry/thicker pieces, but here, every single piece was juicy and divine. The charsiu was also good, with a nice balance of lean to fatty meat. Thoroughly impressed with this place!

I love their roasted-duck! It’s juicy and tasty! Can’t recommend enough. Wish they have a branch in Brisbane.

Tasty Hong Kong style food, milk tea is very good, black pepper source is thick enough, pineapple bun is not soft enough.
No meal sets, you need to order every dish separately, thus is a bit expensive.(you can refer to the menu for the price)

Best Char siu I've had since Hong Kong both tender and juicy highly recommend if you're craving authentic Hk food also milk tea was lovely and staff very friendly

I had a mixed of honey glazed char siew & roasted rice with their signature milk tea on my lunch visit today. Contrary to the reviews I read here after I had my lunch, I was puzzled with the low rating. I think it was a litle biased, maybe due to the price which was definitely not the cheapest. To me, the taste was amazing, the tea is one of the best I had & the service is efficient (which I don't expect much from a fast going food setting). Although the price was not the cheapest of any chinese comfort food I've ever had, I do not mind to pay a buck or two extra to have eaten something that I felt worth instead of paying one or two buck less regretting why I had it at all. Fully recommended if you don't mind paying a buck more for good food! Will definitely be back.

Genuine HK food, friendly staff and warm atmosphere. Food was delicious, broth was full of flavor and meat was soft and tender. Would recommend and go back. Definitely worth a try!

I came here a few times for my late night ravenous hunger and the food was amazing every time! You’ll find a wide range options here, from street-style comfort food, to Hong Kong style meat platter served with dry egg noodles and plum sauce.

We ordered combo B, which came with roast duck, charsiu pork, BBQ pork, roast pork, 2 serves of noodles and 2 choices of drinks. Flavours are good and serves are quite generous; definitely one of the best Hong Kong food I’ve had! Their Hong Kong milk tea was also highly recommended!!

Also the service was very friendly and quick. I would come here more often :)
