Jugiong Rest Area

Always make a stop here for a few nights, it's large and mostly flat. Toilets are clean. Donation is important to keep this wonderful free camp tidy. The motel up the road has a great menu and is more your everyday food. Both the motel and sir George have menus on Google.

Very nice rest area with lots of room to to stay and rest over night. Has clean toilets at the front of the Rest Area. Also close there are shops across the road where you can dine in or enjoy a Gelato. Can also go fishing by the lake. Really enjoyed our stay will definitely go back.

A large, well grassed rest area in the centre of Jugiong. Offers a range of facilities but no power or showers.

Cost/Time Limit - Free camp with a 7 day time limit. Donations are requested and appreciated.

Access: Leave the Hume Highway and drive into the heart of Jugiong. The free camp is adjacent to the well maintained Sergeant Parry memorial park. Within the camp area roads are gravel and the sites are well grassed.

Facilities: Excellent facilities include a toilet block, potable water, many bins scattered around and a dump point. There are is no power available or showers. Jugiong is small with no general store but there is a service station in the town.

Ambiance: With such a large space, it is easy to spread out especially away from the amenities. The Hume is only 2 km away so road noise is evident particularly in the evening as the Hume is busy 24 hours a day.

A generally excellent camp ground with good facilities. Will visit again.

The best kept secret on the Hume Highway. It has everything that you can want for a family or just for a pleasant interlude off the busy road. Stay overnight in accommodation or the massive, quiet camping area. The toilets and the parklands are well maintained by the locals who deserve a large donation to its upkeep. There is a play area with plenty of room for children to run around in safety. An absolute "must visit" Wagga families will drive there just for lunch at the Long Track Pantry. Well worth the slight deviation from the highway. And check out the iron sculptures of Australian bush life by a local artist.

Great pit stop between Canberra and Wagga. The long track pantry serves pretty delicious food and has a decent outdoors and indoors seating. Right opposite the cafe is a play area for kids and a shaded community bbq area. A Must visit👍

Great donation camp with a dump point and water, toilet block near the front gates, pub and cafe across the road. You can swim in the river or at the adjacent public pool. Support this camp with a donation for its upkeep

Fantastic serene locacation and facilities for free campers. Make sure u donate and pick up after u to keep this special place going. 10 stars if i could. Just love it.

Great free stop over for large vans and boats. Great pub with beautiful beer garden and cafe/general store for breaky in the morning.

Perfect place to stop if travelling with young kids. Playground, public toilets, great café across the road, picnic tables with shelter, water refill station. Tick, tick, tick!

Always well managed and maintained, park like open space on the bank of the Murrumbidgee River.

Soo glad we pulled off the highway. Great river spot with excellent cafe and pub. Best atmosphere.
