Jugiong Showground Memorial Park

A lovely little town with a pub , cafe, bottle shop and a food shop.The showgrounds are quite large and if you go down the back there is a River that you can camp near. There is a honesty box near the clean toilets. There is firewood for sale if you want a fire, but must be contained to a firebin. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk, depending on where you camp.

Finally a camp ground that lives up to the hype. Massive area with plenty of space, good toilets. Beautiful views and the river close by.

Absolutely amazing place to stay, near the Murrumbidgee River or up the top. Over the Easter weekend, there honestly would have been 200 vans and tents, with still loads more room for others. Sunsets were amazing also after the storm

Stayed overnight.. it was great.. nice and spread out so we'ren't camping on tip of each other. Great for kids to run around.

This hidden secret is sensational.
Just north of Gundagai 2km off the Hume hwy .
200 vans could easily park here .
Well maintained by volunteers

A donation box is provided and gold coins excepted .
A great pub up the road for a quality cooked meal .

The Jugiong Showground is a massive campground which operates on a donation basis. The campground is open to all campers, tents and RVs alike, but is a showground, so may not necessarily be available when an event is scheduled. There are pleasant river walks and swimming facilities which are open "in season". The showground also has public toilets, dump point and fresh water. Across the road is the Sir George pub, which is a beautifully renovated traditional Australian pub, the winery and The Jam Factory which are all worth a visit.

Lovely place. We have been there 3 times now. 1 with a tent and 2 with a camper trailer. Plenty of room, dump spot, pool (with fees and hours open there is a sign for that) toilets, donation box. Lovely Cafe walking distance away. We will definitely go back and recommend.

This place is amazing. Pool opened in the summer months and they are there till 7pm. The local food place were amazing. Sir George Hotel, The Long Track PANTRY and the Motel all have amazing food. Toilets very cleaned and well looked after. Get off the HUME and relaxed for a while and enjoy.

Amazing camp! Really pretty, right next to the river. The town itself is so clean, really nice old buildings which have had a facelift, the pub is really pretty and there is a wine cellar too!
The campground itself is at the Showgrounds which has a pool you can pay to go into, a little playground, toilets, tennis court and a skatepark!
They don’t charge but do ask for donations which we definitely left as this type of thing is hard to find!

Awesome campground donation only. Plenty of space, has a dump point, clean toilet, taps everywhere, pool, playground and across the road is a pub, restaurant and a bakery.

It was a good stay over. Very well maintained camp area. No showers, but heard they are coming. Wish they had two blocks of toilets but.

Fantastic roomy campground- loads of level sites and terrific river front options ( though has been full along rive4 in peak times) otherwise plenty room - even has a dump point- and then terrific eating just across the road. Park dive through easily- Under the trees or in the open…. We stop here every time we travel Sydney-Melb via the Hume….

Jugiong Show Ground is a great overnight stop on the Hume Highway. Ample space to spread out, lots of trees for shade, a dump point, next to the Jugiong Pool and if you don't want to cook dinner walk to the Jugiong Hotel.

Very busy between Christmas and New Year but loads of space to spread out and very well looked after. Let's look after this fantastic donation camp so that Jugiong continues to welcome caravanners.

Great overnight stop set up small tents free camp (make donation) had a swim and shower in the local pool and ate dinner at the motel ( great value quality food) pub you need to book.

Very large area, free camping, water. Great for overnight stay. The pool & hot shower is open till 7pm, cost $4.20 for an adult. Or you can swim in the river.

This is one of our favourite places to stay, on the Hume H'way.
Sadly, a lot of folks don't contribute to the donation box. Well done, Jugiong.

Best free camp. They only ask for a donation in the community box near the restrooms as the locals volunteer to keep them clean. Great place and pub. Highly recommend it for a stopover x
