We tried this new place for breakfast and I have no idea why it’s not pumping on a Saturday morning! It was awesome! We had the chicken Benedict and the ham hock baked beans. Both dishes were really yummy, but they’re on the small side so order some sides if you are hungry. Fantastic friendly service.

We had the tasting menu for our anniversary dinner. It was absolutely fantastic and the service was great. The ravioli and cocktails were a particular highlight.

Amazing. Can't fault the food, drinks or service. I love a flavoursome sweet cocktail, hating ones that are overwhelmingly potent. Cocktails here were all beautiful!

Hubby suggested here for breaky this morning and we were in no way shape or form disappointed. The coffee to start was exaxtly as I ordered and I enjoyed every sip. I ordered the Build your own Breaky with sourdough, bacon, smashed avo, panko egg (so yummy give it a try) and Portobello mushrooms which were seriously just perfect. To top it off the staff were, helpful, friendly, attentive but not in your face. Can't wait to come back and try their Buttermilk Waffles!

A nice classy place to come for breakfast. Plenty of seating, nice atmosphere, with an open window into the kitchen. The coffee was also surprisingly good - I ended up having two! Highly recommended for a bit of an upper class dining experience.

Banana plant & Salmon starters were amazing.

The Pork Belly was very tasty, though so fatty it was difficult to cut on the plate, & without any other food to accompany this huge slab of meat it soon became overwhelming.

With the entire inside of the restaurant black it really does bring out the food!

Finally! A restaurant in Townsville that is providing something different! The food is presented amazingly, tastes even better and customer service is on point! The open kitchen is also pretty cool - to watch the chef do his thing 👌🏼 A must try 😄

What an awesome restaurant, chill and upmarket, a bit of bit city but with home town friendliness.
Had the pork belly without kale, yum! Salty cracking top was fantastic.
My wife and I are going to share the baked camembert entree and NQ cheeseboard next time as a big cheesy night.

Wow, was totally blown away last night dining at this restaurant. The front of house team were absolutely amazing, and a big shout out to Mason and the rest of the team. The service was exceptional and the willingness to please was some of the best I have experienced in recent times when dining out, nothing was too much trouble or effort.

The food was absolutely exceptional, we ordered Pork Belly and Crocodile to share as a starter between 3 of us and enjoyed an awesome bottle of Vasse Felix Margaret River Chardonnay which matched beautifully.

We then shared the Duck and the Grass Fed Eye Fillet, we loved the crocodile so much we ordered it again to come with our mains. The mains matched up perfectly to a Yalumba Tri-Centenary ‘Ancestor’ Vine Grenache (the vineyard was planted in 1889 Mason tells me) which was so delicate and bright fruited it was a match made in heaven.

We couldn’t say no to dessert, Crème Brûlée and a chocolate wonder names ‘Crying’ Mousse au Chocolat which apparently is a recipe that comes from one of the French chef’s villages. Bravo, it was amazing, we washed these down with a Heggies Vineyard Eden Valley Botrytis Riesling which was simply divine.

Can’t wait to return here and Townsville if you haven’t dined at this restaurant yet get in there, it was simply sensational. Any out of town visitors you will not be disappointed no matter where you come from, it is world class and no wonder why they have 1 chefs hat (AGFG 2021).

First time here and for breakfast, and must say very impressed. Food immaculate, coffee oh so yummy, friendly efficient service and very professional will most definitely be back again to try dinner. My wife and I very happy.

Like a slice of Melbourne. The menu is small but each item is expertly crafted. Each meal is a unique blend of flavours and textures. The plating of each dish is a perfect show of how much care the chefs take in putting it together. We especially enjoyed the duck and mushroom gyoza and the lamb. Service was exquisite, staff are trained extremely well and very attentive. Good range of cocktails that were very well made. Price was definitely reasonable considering the quality of food, drinks and care we were given. We will be coming back for sure

Went for dinner last night and had a lovely time. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Cocktails were great. Food was delicious and beautifully presented, and they even accommodated my 9-year old picky eater's request to just have the Barramundi on its own. My husband and I ordered the lamb rack, which was served as pulled lamb wrapped in prosciutto. It was delicious, but it would have been nice to have been informed of the change. My husband had one complaint about the tiny writing on the menu. Even if you brought the Hubble telescope, you wouldn't be able to read it. But he likes to forget his reading glasses and then blame others for his inability to read things. Overall a great experience and am looking forward to coming back.

Was greeted at the door by Maison at 530pm,
straight away you knew it was going to be a great night. We had the plant based tasting menu and was a great experience and the best iv had in Townsville. Very polite and professional staff. highly recommended this place. The black truffle gnocchi was to die for.
I will be back.

Finally got to experience this amazing new restaurant! The food was incredible so much thought goes into every dish, they all look amazing and the cocktails were some of the best we’ve had in Townsville. The wait staff were friendly and took very good care of us, thank you for an awesome Birthday Dinner. We can’t wait to come back!

Wow, great experience here. Everything was top notch; from the wait staff, the cocktails, the meals right down to the small details like the air dried citrus slice in my Scotch.

Modern fine dining in Townsville has been turned up a notch.

Amazing, we were a table of 6 with the tasting menu. Everyone love it. My favourite one was the salmon, spinach and cream cheese role and i am still dreaming with the cream brule. We also try some of the cocktails. Everything 10 out of 10. Hats off to the new chef.

Haven't been out with my partner on our own for years due to children and am absolutely stoked that this is the place we chose. The setting was comfortable, the sevice was attentive and the food was absolutely amazing. I don't think there has ever been a time when we have had an Entree, a main and dessert and loved everything. Being a North Queensland construction worker i am primarily a beer drinker but even i loved the cocktail menu. All i can say is get dressed up and give MBV a go, you won't regret it.

Such an amazing experience here, from the food to drinks, to the service and the atmosphere, it is truely a must do. The service alone was stand out, never have i experienced such amazing customer service, even on a busy night the staff were right there if you needed anything. I loved the palet cleaner it made the experience feel very refined. The food and cocktails are honestly so delicious.
