An amazing destination, most beautiful quiet and peaceful. Windflowers Cottage provided all we needed, with many special unique touches. Fresh, clean, comfortable, warm and homely. We enjoyed wonderful walks in cottage garden and through to the flowering Protea paddock. Both well secured for our young golden retriever. The gym too provided challenging entertainment for young and old. Thankyou to our hosts, Bruce and Leonie for your presence and hospitality. Delightfully recharged and rested. Looking forward to returning again :-)

Bruce and Leonie are great host. Property is in great location and have interrupted view. Anyone who want to escape from city life must stay at Windflower cottage.
We travelled with two young kids aged 5 and 9 and both enjoyed at lot as one can hear birds all day around and best part was star glazing.
We will definitely revisit in future.
Thank you Bruce and Leonie for all your help.

Was at Windflower Cottage 2 days ago, first of all, Eleanor and I would like to thanks Bruce and Leonie for the accommodation, they give us the whole cottage despite only 2 of us. The cottage is very big, clean, and well facilitated, you just have to walk in and stay! I must say it is a great place for big family! They are generous with their breakfast provision, the butter is so tasty that we almost want to take it with us if not because it will melt :D the scenery is thrilling and the location is near to many attractions near Huon Ville, fruit farms, vineyards, cyder factories (Willie Smith), salmon farm and cafes like Reba Sear. Bruce is kind enough to give us a late check out. I would say, just by spending a whole day in Windflower Cottage alone is already a blessing with lots of exotic flowers, we don't actually have to go anywhere else.

A very comfortable, clean, accomodation with a phenomenal view. The bed, shower and kitchen were all great and there were numerous small touches that made our stay very enjoyable. Bruce and Leonie were wonderful hosts. All in all a great place to stay. A place on our “to come back to” list.

Our Christmas stay at Windflowers was idyllic. The view is beautiful from the cottage living area and deck, and the seating and beds are very comfortable. Provisions left for us to use were generous and appreciated. We hope to return.

If I could give 6 out of 5 stars, I would. Loved the accommodation- it had everything we needed from the kitchen, dining, lounge, through to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The surrounding garden is beautiful and the view is exquisite, come rain or shine. So glad we found Windflowers to enjoy some downtime. Thank you to the wonderful hosts!

This is our second stay (first in 2017!) at Leonie and Bruce’s beautiful cottage, but we also brought our dog this time who enjoyed the secure garden immensely. The cottage is still extremely comfortable and along with the lovely internal touches, and the long, gorgeous view, you can’t ask for more. We took our own advice and stayed 3 nights. Hope to be back much sooner next time…

My two sisters and myself stayed at Windflowers for five glorious nights. The photos on the website don't even do it justice until you witness the wonderful views yourself.
Everything is just perfect and Leonie and Bruce are wonderful hosts.
You could not wish for better accommodation to explore the beautiful area. We had a wonderful stay and will certainly be back again.
Thanks Leonie and Bruce

Last weekend was our second stay at Windflowers. Bruce and Leonie made us feel very welcome in the homestead. The house has every comfort in such a private and magnificent location. Everywhere you look is filled with tranquility and beauty. The house is kept spotlessly clean and there are generous healthy breakfast cereals and food.
And of course not only the natural beauty of the Huon but the hospitality of the Huon is on show in its main Cygnet street, restaurants and shops. It is undoubtedly an outstanding holiday haven even for a short two night stay.

We have just returned from a wonderful weeks stay at the Windflowers Cottage. The cottage was immediately inviting and the views just superb. It was lovely to sit and relax whilst looking at the extraordinary views and plentiful wildlife. The birds in particular were a constant delight. Thanks to Bruce and Leonie for the generous provisions, the fabulously comfortable bed and well appointed kitchen and bathroom.
This is a place we must return to.

We loved the setting of the buildings amid the gardens surrounded by bush and farmlands overlooking the western mountains with the magnificent Huon river below. What a place to watch the setting sun and its colourful sky for an hour afterwards! Our accommodation was spacious, clean, thoughtfully provisioned with everything we needed. Our hosts helped us out when we ran into trouble on a nearby road after managing to back into a culvert for which we are most grateful. We are very happy we chose Windflowers for our four days away

We very much enjoyed our stay at Windflowers Cottage. The cottage itself is very tastefully decorated and spacious. The river and mountain views are amazing from within the cottage and also from the front deck. We enjoyed the roaring fire and the more than ample breakfast provisions (fresh eggs from the property, bacon, cereal etc) provided by our generous and kind hosts. The kitchen is fully kitted out and spacious enough to cook all meals. The cottage is very quiet and the bed super comfy. The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden, birds and other wildlife. A walk through the protea garden is a must! We will definitely return. Many thanks Leonie and Bruce we look forward to seeing you again soon.

We spent a wonderful weekend at Windflowers; comfortable, warm and bright accommodation with all you need as well as plenty of safe outdoor space for your puppies to play. The view is amazing and a walk around to the protea field is a must, stopping off to chat to the curious Highland Cattle wandering in the adjacent field. We will definitely be back.

This was our second stay at Windflowers, this time we brought our family and our dog. Such a peaceful location, with a spectacular vista to sit back and enjoy. Leonie and Bruce are the perfect hosts, caring, but not intrusive. The pantry is always well stocked which is an added bonus. A range of doonas, blankets, throws and pillows adds to comfort of your stay. Plenty to do or just sit back and do nothing. A walk amongst the proteas is always enjoyable. Just love it here!

We had three wonderful days at Windflowers cottage. The amenities are superb, the food was plentiful, bed was very comfortable and it is the most delightful place to stay. The highland cows were a great feature as is the incredible views overlooking Glaziers Bay.

If you're looking for a wonderful, refreshing country experience - complete with wood fire, enclosed yard for pets and beautiful views - this is the perfect getaway. We loved the rolling hills and wildlife spotting and our pups did too! Leonie made our stay easy. We want to tell all our friends but also keep it to ourselves :) Thank you.

The photos do not do justice to this lovely accommodation. We loved our stay and the view is amazing. The owners are fantastic and so helpful. There is ample parking with animal proof fencing so our dog was able to go outside without the lead on. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it. It has everything you need. We hope to return.

WOW WOW WOW❤A piece of heaven on earth😍 we spent a wonderful week at windflowers with 5 dogs.. very comfortable and private with the most magnificent views of the Huon River and the rolling green hills of the Hartz mountains and with all the comforts you need. Bruce and Leonie made us feel very welcome. The house is spotlessly clean and very generous breakfast supplies provided. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the bird songs are amazing. A walk through the Protea garden is a must.. Our fur kids just absolutely loved it. We woke to a different Vista each morning and settled in at night with another Vista each evening. Great safe ( fenced) outdoor space for our 5 fur kids who had the best times with so many smells and plenty of space to have garden walks and plays. We explored the huon area, beaches and walking tracks, local towns and dogs were brave enough to walk the tahune airwalk🐶 Thankyou, we will return to this piece of paradise.
