Great National Park & Visitors Centre. Government huts are a fun experience. The initial email received after booking is not aligned with the actual experience. The team at the visitors centre making picking up and dropping off the key easy.

Special thanks to a young lady from Parks. She gave kind advice in the upcoming weather, shared our enthusiasm for the tarn shelf.

Nice folks in here, very helpful, we stopped in before doing the Tarn Shelf walk, a magic walk of about 16 kilometres, I recommend doing it anti clockwise and taking a good supply of food and prepare for all weather.

Went up mount Mawson, made it to the top and saw amazing snow.
Drive was good, gets dicey toward the end but made it in a sedan.
Walked to the top, amazing snow.
Thank you to the amazing lady at the visitor center, I believe her name was Bridgette?
Was very informative and also honest about what was ahead.
Thanks 😊

This is a must visit place. Between a 15 min and 180min you can experience 1 or 3 waterfalls, epic forest walks. From Little ones to the olds this place even has wheelchair access to the best waterfall on show. Stop here in the camp ground overnight or park the mountain bikes and see this on your way to Downhill adventures. Huge cafe can cater from tours or just you. Remember if it's busy be nice to the humans that inhabit and work in this area. The coffee is worth it.

Absolutely beautiful walks. Well worth a visit.
I cannot thank the visitor centre staff enough for helping me out when I became unwell while here. They went above and beyond, and I'm incredibly grateful for their compassion.

This is a nicely designed visitor centre to help out people going towards the Mount Field national park. It offers guidance about the hiking and walking treks. The park offers well maintained trails, going through the heart of thick forest which leads to some of the lovely waterfalls and high alps. There is a variety of wildlife, we encountered a snake in the bush near the centre which was shy enough to go the other way.

Lovely Russell falls is a 15 mins walk from the waterfall cafe. No entry fees needed for park if you just visit the falls, during winter, melting snow make the waterfall robust, it's beautiful. As you walk almost one of the world's tallest trees, ferns, you can't help but admire nature in its splendor

Very friendly staff - they'll give you advice on which walks to go on based on your age group and time you have. I'd strongly recommend coming here first to before your walks if it's your first time visiting and are unsure about the walks itself. This is also the starting point for some of the walks. There's a cafe here so you can get food and there's a public toilet here.

Everything a Visitor Centre needs: information, toilets, souvenirs! As it was raining all day, I really appreciate the connected Cafe!

Great staff, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There's a few displays and of course, souvenirs. Cafe is great, does breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Toilets are clean and there's good car parking. Wheelchair friendly. Do not miss the 25 minute return walk to Russell Falls, simply stunning and also Wheelchair accessible.

Mt Field National Park is paradise. The walk takes in Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls and Lady Barren Falls and takes 2 to 3 hours depending on pace. Absolutely stunning part of Tasmania.

One of the best Visitor Centre I've been to which is located in the oldest National Park(Mt Field) in Tasmania.
All staff were very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and know everything about the track in Mt Field and the surrounding area.
The staffs would provide the most suitable Park Pass according to the visitor's situation.
This park own spectacular waterfalls, well maintained trails, variety of wildlife.
I can't wait to be there again.

Easy walk to Russell Falls, then quite a few steps up to Horseshoe Falls. Well worth the trip after it has rained for a few days.

Beautiful walk to beautiful places. We first walked it at night where we got to see glow worms and took a flood light to see the waterfalls at night. Also met some lovely locals along the way. Worth doing, they are gorgeous at night as well as day.

an amazing new Visitor center. lots of interpretation that is relevant about the area. the ranger at the front desk when we were on duty was extremely rude and so over his life and job but the building itself was totally worth a visit.

Loved the interpretation centre, lots of info, and helpful staff.
HINT: If you are buying a National Parks Pass, remember to take a photo of your vehicle rego (saves you having to go back to your car).
