Worth visiting. These falls are just spectacular. A short walk from the back of the visitor Centre, you can the walk on for various other locations for turn back around. The short walk in a well paced & easily accessible as well as beautiful. Large tall ferns surround the path that winds along the waterfall run offs.

Deviating 30 km from our original plan to explore Russell Falls was the best decision. This natural wonder provides a captivating experience, with picturesque displays of nature's beauty surrounded by lush greenery. The soothing sound of cascading water enhances the tranquility of the surroundings. Russell Falls is a must-visit destination for those seeking a peaceful escape into nature.

One of my favourite waterfalls in Tasmania. The walk to the falls is easy and pleasant. We continued on further from there but if you only want to see the falls it’s about a 25 minute round trip. We had lunch at the cafe first before commencing our hike. Easy to read signs are posted for clear directions. Ample parking available. Toilet facilities are clean. So many fascinating trees to see along the way.

Great easy walk to get to the falls. Concrete path and steps.
One way to the falls then to the tall trees.
Not a round trip unless you go to the next falls. Not a hard walk unless you are not mildly fit. Lots of spots to sit and rest and enjoyed amazing forest

A beautiful location, situated in a tall tree rain forest. It's just a short 15 min walk from the visitor centre. If you walk another 5 min you'll find yourself at the Horseshoe Falls further upstream. You'll need a National Park permit to enter the site.

Just amazing! A very easy walk to Russell Falls from the visitor centre, 25mins return. Highly recommend visiting after it’s been raining for a few days to see it really in action. At night you can even go and see the glow worms, it was very exciting but take a torch with you for the way back as it’s pitch black!
Very pleasant and enjoyable experience. Can’t wait to visit again one day.

Russell falls is great family walk with 25 mins return. You can enjoy the tall trees and why is Tasmania so special. From Russell falls if you want you can walk to horseshoe falls for another 15 mins. But still will be steep stairs which is well maintained. But I like the Russell falls better than horseshoe one. Kids friendly and seniors friendly. Must do if you visit mount field national park.

One of the easiest waterfall walks we have had... probably would be a bit more spectacular in the spring with a bit more waterfowl, however the path to the falls was the highlight for us. Well worth the visit in our opinion.

Definitely my favourite waterfall in Tasmania. The scenery around the waterfall is absolutely mind-blowing and beautiful. The walk here also presents some interesting and unique vegetation. If you are visiting Tasmania, definitely stop by and I promise you that you will not regret it. I have attached to this post a photo of the waterfall and a photo of the vegetation that you can find while on the walk.

A lovely waterfalls, with an easy, clear pathways to the falls. Lots of mushrooms and beautiful scenery along the path. We had injured knees and managed the path fairly easily. Would definitely recommend a visit.

It is a great walk with a beautiful view of the falls. Keep an eye out for the platypus. The terrain is pretty easy, but I recommend good walking shoes. There is a good cafe at the visitor centre.

If you love fresh air, peaceful walks among nature. This place is a compulsory visit. Also offers camping spots(no power) on site. But look very busy

Very easy short walk - start from the Mount Field National Park. Only 20-25 minutes return. Good for the elderly and children. You'll need a National Park pass to enter. You can continue the walk from here and do a loop if you like, the whole walk is pretty good and easy. Walks can get muddy so wear good shoes!

A short walk from visitor centre. Minded the centre will close at 4pm and the toilet will be closed as well. The waterfall is great with plenty of water. The upper stream has another waterfall called horse shoe fall which need to climb up about 20 meter from Russell Fall.

Great Bushwalk. Make the effort to see Lady Barron falls. The walking track amongst the huge trees is fantastic. Totally worth the drive from Hobart for a day trip.
