Fantastic meal for a small or large group, very hands-on and interactive. Food is meant to be shared amongst friends, and this restaurant certainly enables that. Fairly priced, and you will roll out knowing you have had your fill and more. It's now one of my favourite venues in Townsville.

We love Coo.King and have definitely become regulars!
As for gluten free options (as a coeliac), I am always extremely impressed. There are plenty of options for the hotpot, BBQ (including gf honey soy chicken), and prepared food including sushi. Also the desserts are great and they always get me a gluten free passionfruit cheesecake from the back (see pictures, make sure you ask for this if you're gluten free!).
The food is fresh and tasty. The set up is nice. And the staff are fantastic (big shout out to Riley who always looks after us, especially with making sure we know about and get all the gluten free options).
Could not recommend Coo.King more highly!

Travelled four hours just to come here. Always leave so full, and 80 minutes really is the perfect amount of time. Staff are excellent too. Really can't fault this place

I love Coo. King. It is so awesome to have some more cultural options in Townsville. The kimchi is so yummy it is my most favorite thing I could eat it all on its own with a hot bowl of rice. The BBQ is great, we love the Beef bulgogi and the BBQ house sauce compliments all the BBQ meats. I am a huge fan of the spicy Beef bone broth for the hot pot. After cooking my meats and veggies I cant help but slurp up all the meaty goodness. It does get very busy so its not a great spot if you have anxieties, you may need to consider off peak times if so. But its a great spot, great experience for families. I do encourage out of town visitors to try Coo. King and have not heard anything bad in response for my recommendations.

Buffet style hot pot and Korean bbq !!! Chose your hot pot base first. There are some hot food like fried chicken, chicken skewers, fresh made sushi … etc as a part of buffet too!!
Please don’t waste food as the staff will check your table before you pay the bills. Too much wastage will cost you extra fees.

OOOOH Absolutely love this place! My fav restaurant in Townsville. You need to ensure you book in advance and if you make a mistake emailing them about it is no good. Either re-book or call to make sure your booking is edited. Highly recommend to at least give it a go once. The experience is the main attraction I Have with the place. Definitely have to go at least once!

It was great. We were there last night for dinner and today for lunch. The staff are nice. The staff name is Cody ❤, she was friendly and kind. If we're back in Townsville, we'll go there again.

Yes, you are the cook if you want a bbq or hotpot. However, it is far more enjoyable cooking with friends and family at Coo.King than slaving away in the home kitchen.
There is cooked buffet and a sushi bar, as well as a small dessert section and softdrink and juice included in the very fair price. A good restaurant.

Make sure you book ahead, it is very popular!

We consider ourselves Korean BBQ veterans and would say this is one of the best places we have been to!

Food: The amount of options is overwhelming! Hot Pot and Bbq?! Sushi, fried chicken, pancake, and much much more, and that's not to mention the huge selection for desert! 5/5

Service: From the moment you walk in till the moment you leave, all the staff are extremely helpful, and very attentive! They actually look like they enjoy working there! Super friendly and extremely helpful!

Time: you get 80 minutes, i see a lot of people complaining about this, but it is more than enough time to cook, eat and eat desert! All the Karens leaving reviews because they want to sit for 20 minutes chatting and asking 1000 questions.. the place is busy and cannot waste time on people who want to chat before eating.

Price: $50 per person for unlimited food and soft drinks and desert, more than reasonable!

Great set up, well laid out, and the food is fantastic. The staff are lovely (a special shout out to our waitress Georgia), and are happy to explain how the system works and check in on you often.

It's worth upgrading to the premium package of you're a softdrink drinker or a sweet tooth. The allocated times are very generous and are more than long enough to eat your fill.

The only downside is that it is very difficult to actually make a booking. Bookings are only taken by phone (which is not always answered), and voicemails go unreturned. Plus, no bookings between 6pm and 7pm, only walk-ins.

The restaurant is very new though, and I'm hopeful they will iron out these booking kinks with time. I would definitely return, and am already planning on bringing my parents along with us! Coo.King is a super fun night out, and is something different to normal.

I don’t eat meat but there is so much other things you can eat.
My partner is meat eater and he was so happy to eat many different styles of meat.
And I was happy to eat sushi and many more yummy food.
We will come back again!

We are visiting from the Gold Coast and wish we had this there.
Our whole family absolutely enjoyed our experience here.
Service was good, price was great for the quality of value and vast selection of food choice.
Great for families. Our kids couldn't stop talking about how much they enjoyed the dining experience Here.

We went for Saturday lunch, $50 BBQ sitting per person and it was worthy ( it includes unlimited ingredients of Shabu Shabu which is a hot pot soup 🍲 unlimited variety of BBQ ingredients as well as unlimited all you can eat buffet cold and hot food sittings) all meat and vegetables are fresh, very helpful service staff. Just be aware of 10% surcharge of your waste 🗑 food. Do not take ingredients if your not eating it nor overload your plate. personally I agree 👍 💯 to this system.

I think I stumbled upon Korean BBQ Hotpot heaven. Not only was the food and variety amazing but the staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. I will be back.

My first visit to this restaurant but definitely won't be my last. It is well presented, staff are friendly and helpful and cooking your own food that you can select from the wide range of options is great.
I have since returned at least 5 times. Every time I am impressed with this place.
The only thing I can suggest to fix is the chopsticks aren't great, I have started bringing my own.

Pretty nice and good service korea bbq restaurant. There are many options for vegan.
Due to covid, we can not serve ourself but staffs assist.
The time was quick. I wish to extend time more.

It’s a good deal for $55 on weekends. Korean chicken was delicious and most of food was good. Would recommend this place.
