Great free overnight stop. Toilets available with showers. Camping tables. Plenty of space. And beautiful views of the river at sunset. Great 4G signal with Optus (we use it to work online).

Great overnight stop. Has toilet, cold showers if not fully self-contained and a dump point. Great walk down along the river. Lovely garden arts/structures, birds and cattle. Get in early for a spot, fills up fast.

Grassy sites, some concrete slabs for easy levelling. Shady and sunny sites. Take a look at the fascinating sculptures scattered around the yard of the house at the top of the hill. A little bit of road noise. Do the right thing and don't park on the grass where the sculptures are, there's plenty of room on the other sude of the track. Respect the signs, we don't want the site closed down or fenced off.

On the Boyne River, the Benaraby free campsite is a generous space, a bit off the road, so minimal truck noise during the night. The Brahmans in the photos inhabit a paddock between the campsite and the river. So friendly, you can pat them.
Toilets are very basic, with a cold water shower on offer. Fresh drinking water is available from taps marked as " drinking water ".
There is also a dump point for caravan toilets. I recommend this stop on the way south to Brisbane, or all points north.

Dog friendly, right near the river fem 1 toilet and 1 cold shower men 1 and 1 plusc2 urinals amenities very clean and maintained. RV area quite large. Great spot for 20hr limit. Benches and tables around to use as well as a drinking water tap top spit

Really nice rest area, overlooking the river. Nice and shady with toilets and picnic tables as well as a dump point for RVs.

Nice walk to river from the rest area to take the dogs for morning or evening walk.

I went there at Easter nice sceniary good view.

Stayed here over Easter 21. Fantastic free camping spot 👌. Don't swim in the river as THE SIGN says. Crocs have been spotted. Great fishing though. Coffee cart comes during busy times and is the best. Fellow travellers are very friendly. Please do the right thing 🙏. Don't want this Great rest area closed down.

Great spot. Very shady, bit of traffic noise but not too bad, lovely wide river to walk dogs or maybe throw in a line.

Awesome for a free campsite. It has toilets, (cold) showers, drinking water, picnic tables, ample parking, shaded areas and phone signal.

Lovely spot stayed overnight, water available , clean toilets & heaps of room

Great for an over night stop. Was pleasantly surprised to wakeup to a coffee van. They are there everyday except Sundays apparently.

Plenty of space allows you to park away from the road. Nice river walk is possible. Toilet block has a cold shower.

A good free camping site. It’s near the highway but you can find a nice spot between the tree and close to the river. The campground has toilet and shower and they are clean! In the morning at around 7am a coffe van arrive so if you want breakfast and a nice coffe here we go! The camp area has also drinking water.

It is bit noisy because of the trucks passing.
Good place to spend the night.
