Camp Akuna Pikes Crossing

Stayed here for 1 night. It was $10pp. Hot showers with good pressure and the camp kitchen was great. Full ovens and hobs. Ice machine, fire wood you can buy. Big communal fire pit and a super friendly caretaker.
Was able to charge our electrics in the kitchen too. Plenty of pots and pans to use also

Never heard of this until a couple weeks ago. Nice quiet spot. Not a lot of shade available but we had a lovely breeze the whole weekend. Fully equipped kitchen available, clean amenities too. About 15mins drive to the nearest shop at Benaraby, or Tannum Sands. We're certainly going back again.

Amazing campsite with terrific facilities. Camp kitchen is the best I’ve seen, BBQs , clean ammenities and HOT water for showers. It’s come a long way since I first visited several years ago. Can’t recommend highly enough. Les the caretaker and his family can’t do enough to make your stay perfect. Thumbs up from us.

Amazing campground, lots of space, clean amenities, hot showers, clean flushing toilets, terrific camp kitchen and BBQs, dog friendly and best of all, the most wonderful caretakers!

It was a wonderful stay at Akuna. The caretaker, Les, was most helpful and friendly. You basically only have to take wood and your food and clothes. Absolutely everything is there. Flushable toilets, hot showers, washing machine, camp kitchen (cutlery, crockery, toaster, BBQ with gas, microwave, ) Just take your rubbish when you leave and leave camp grounds as you found them. Oh, and put toilet seat down when finished....

It's a great place really clean and tidy fire pits BBQ'S kitchen facility hot showers washing machine on site care taker very quite and serene. Would definitely come back again. 😁

This would have to be the best bush camp we have stayed at, Les the caretaker is an absolute delight. If you are in the area do yourself a favour and stay a night or two

I have only done a search on this campground. It looks well worth a visit..

The caretaker goes to alot of trouble looking after his guests ,amenities and the park. Will be going their again

Great little place close to Gladstone yet far enough away for a peaceful camping weekend.
