Yellowtail Restaurant

My best friend & I loved everything this restaurant had on offer. We started with a couple of cocktails which were as tasty as they looked!
We were lucky to taste their trial menu, which I believe is available every Thursday. It came with 5 courses and we opted to have the wine pairing also. We were blown away by the quality & flavour of each dish & drink!
We both thought it was value for money.
The staff were friendly & passionate about what they had on offer. The restaurant was cosy & we had an amazing night!
We would not hesitate to return for another meal!

Yellowtail never disappoints. The food is incredible, the flavours and presentation are a work of art and the owners should be proud of their team. The degustation menu is a perfect way to experience a great variety from the menu and the wine pairings were spot on.
Can’t wait to be back

The food is incredible with very generous serving sizes.

These guys know their stuff.
Oyster. Native curry foam. Scallops. Were the most interesting highlights but it was all great.

Came for a group of 3 on a Saturday long weekend. The restaurant staggered the seatings and service was efficient. Everything was delicious, especially the oysters and the tempura pumpkin, and seafood cooked perfectly. It's a small restaurant so if you want to go for a nice meal out in Terrigal, book early.

We had our dinner last night and were blown away by the quality, delicious taste and details. The food were absolutely amazing. Iv been so many places around the world. I highly recommend this place to everyone. We live in Sydney and visited Terrigal for couple of nights. I’m definitely going to miss this restaurant here.
Cocktails were beautiful and very cozy inside.

Celebrated my 40th birthday recently here with some friends from Sydney - I was in the area, they deemed me worth the long drive to celebrate with me 😃
Yellow tail came up as a hit when searching for great local seafood.
Even better than the fabulous flavour pairings of the various ingredients in each dish of our 5 course degustation was the superbly friendly, fun, accommodating service!!! Kendall, Andrew, and Tamara really made the whole dining experience so much more special by being so positively personable 😁😊😄 happily looking forward to returning, might be awhile since I live interstate.. ☺
We loved the oysters so much we decided to try 2 different kinds!!

4 of us dined and we shared 4 entrées and 4 mains. Each dish was well designed and executed. We enjoyed it very much and we particularly enjoyed the cauliflower, pork belly entree and lamb. Highly recommend visiting. Thanks for an excellent dining experience.

Sublime! Our yum cha set menu was truly fine dining. Each course was a work of art and tasted simply delicious - we couldn’t choose a favourite. The wonderful service by Jordan & Amber made it a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing place! All of the dishes were perfect and the sommelier chose our wine perfectly for us! Staff were great and personal, such a quaint atmosphere and experience. Highly recommend

Food is phenomenal! Matching wines are the perfect pairing! The degustation menu takes all the guesswork out and let’s you try dishes you wouldn’t normally try. Was opposed to the Spanish mackerel but glad we tried it - amazing! Great service and prices! Highly recommend

We’ve recently moved up to the Coast from Sydney, and we were very keen to experience Yellowtail restaurant. We were not disappointed. One of the best meals I’ve enjoyed in years! Service and food A+ we ordered the chef selection 5 course… Delicious ❤

Dined here at the beginning of March 2023, the service is good, the food is beautifully presented and tasted very nice, highly recommended. Dined here recently and it did not disappoint. Service was warm and friendly and the food was consistent from start to finish. Big standout was the kingfish tartare with mandarin from the chefs menu. Only thing I’m annoyed about is that I haven’t visited sooner!

Lovely little restaurant in Terrigal, went for Mother's day lunch and we were all pleasantly surprised. Every dish was well thought and beautiful without feeling too hipster.
The first course - snapper sashimi was probably my favourite, craving it now! But everything was delicious, the eggplant, jeweled rice, the rice pudding.
The only thing is that it is a very small place and it has no view at all.
We'll be back!

A very easy restaurant to give 5 stars to, we had a lovely evening at Yellowtail with some exceptional food, backed up with great service from fun and engaging people. We will definitely be back soon and I encourage you to do the same.

Did the Yum Cha here with a group of friends. Excellent westernised take on the standard small dishes, highly recommend of you're in the area. Almost worth a drive up from Sydney by itself. Bookings essential

Yellowtail served up some extremely delicious plates. The Yellowfin tuna main was a stand out for me but that doesn't take anything away from the other great dishes.
The restaurant itself is a great small place where I'd recommend a booking, service was spot on with fast and attentive service.
If you are around the area I certainly recommend.

One of the gem restaurant to try on in Terrigal. Place was small but service was big. 3 Course / 5 course menu available. We've tried 3 course menu. We loved the food and taste wise its good and service is also exceptional.
