I must have driven past this place a thousand times over the years, always in a hurry to go somewhere else.
That was my loss.
We visited for yum cha and it was sensational. Lots of different dishes to chose from and there seemed to be a constant stream of new offerings, all were delicious and there is just no way to sample everything.
Excellent service and excellent food.
Well worth a visit.

Quick stop before heading to South Coast, great food good service. Once turn right from the intersection, keep going further and not to park in the church carpark. Plenty of unrestricted street parking around.

Ordered from this restaurant via a delivery app. Rang the restaurant to customise order and the person who answered was friendly and wonderful.

The order came on time and you could see they took pride in their cooking. For example the honey chicken I ordered they put it in a container and placed an open hot bag over it, so the freshly fried chicken could stay crispy and it did stay very crispy and hot.

This honey chicken was one of the best dishes I've had, you could actually taste the real honey and it made all the difference. It wouldn't surprise me if they used manuka honey because it was just so delicious.

I also ordered Mongolian beef, which was another very tasty and flavourful dish. They were able to switch out the lamb for beef.

For me the satay wasn't the greatest but the rest of the dishes were just so brilliantly executed.

They listened to my dietary restrictions and added no egg to the fried rice and used beef instead of lamb.

Even though the satay wasn't the greatest, the amazing customer service and the thoughtfulness the chef had when packaging the order for delivery bumped my 4 star review into a 5 star.

Thank you.

A suburban Cantonese restaurant that offers yum cha daily in an old-school atmosphere environment that's well laid out in its pagoda design making it quite comfortable to dine in.

Going for yum cha on a weekday lunch, it wasn't that busy (but they had a steady stream of customers) and staff came out regularly with trays of small baskets and plates of classic dim sum. Generally the taste of most dishes was up to scratch with traditional flavours and overall a place I would come back to.

Prices are standard and a little high for the suburban location but they offer 5% off if you pay with cash. Service is good for this type of slightly upmarket suburban Cantonese restaurant.

There's free parking across the street.

We love Imperial Peking. Its our go to for celebrations and family dinners. The food is delicious and the staff are so lovely, friendly and funny. They always make you feel welcome and keep the kids gigging. The only problem we have, is to save enough room for the deep fried ice-cream! 🤤

So impressed with the service. What I think was the owner/manager came around and checked if we were happy with everything even though we had a bunch of kids causing mayhem, even showed one of the littlies how to see the fish in the pond. We left without realising my mum forgot her phone there and he came out to the street to check and went back inside got the phone and brought it out. Not to mention the food was delicious. Will definitely be back!

The Imperial Peking Restaurant in Blakehurst is a local favourite that has been around for many years. They make the most amazing food and some of our all time favourite dishes are the mud crab, shredded beef, prawn toast and mermaid tresses. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant or across the road.

It's always a full house. That's because the food is so nice. It's the old fashioned service where they bring the food to your table and you either say yes or no to it. The Portuguese tarts are the best here. Some of the best service you will find in this day and age with experienced people, not an uneducated young generation of "it ain't my job"

Top notch yum cha, quality produce, fresh and flavoursome. At the door you are greeted with a friendly smile, and the staff are incredibly efficient, accommodating and covid smart (hand sanitsier, masks and temperature checks). We had the best lunch!

It's pretty awesome and rare to find a Chinese restaurant that kept its good vibes and tasty dishes rolling for over 30 years! Been loving this place since my high school days, and it's always a joy to find the flavors haven’t changed a bit. Just wish they had a menu in Chinese so folks like my parents could pick their faves easily!

I don’t mind this place.
It’s not the cheapest Chinese food but it’s good.
And they have been very consistent

And they have a very good shredded beef dish.
My favourite.

4 generations of my family have been eating here since the 80s. Unsure if or how many times the management/ownership has changed but it's ALWAYS been amazing. My beautiful children will happily be taking their beautiful Great Grandmother for Sydney's best Yum Cha next week. Amazing food, amazing service and a part of Sydney's culinary history. Well done Imperial Peking.

The best Yumcha we had in Sydney so far. We ordered some prawn, pork/prawn and vegetable dumplings, egg tart and mango pancakes. We were happy with everything we ordered. The egg tart is a must order dessert, so yummy (but forgot to take a photo). 😋

Wasabi Fillet Steak, English Spinach in diced garlic, Mongolian Lamb and the Imperial Peking Fried Rice. Absolutely Delicious meal but the highlight of the night was the Salt & Pepper Lamb Cutlets!!! Did I forget to mention the friendly staff? Thank you for such a lovely experience.
