Kariong Chinese Restaurant

Had lunch special today with sweet & sour pork on fried rice, including a can if soft drink. Only $13.8. Good quality for the money.

Its definitely a hidden gem! Probably the best chinese restaurant in terms of taste and value for money. We ordered the lunch special oyester sauce chicken and the super yumm salt and pepper pork, both with fried rice. Taste was absolutely devine. And its very good value for money. Quantity was great. Will definitely go again.
Update: went again the next day and ordered a whole dish of the salt and pepper pork and chilli chicken. Yumm!!

We had a lovely family meal here. The two ladies were so friendly. The meals came out quickly and were absolutely delicious. We had the $32 banquet and there was plenty of variety and everything was perfect.

The lady is very kind, always checking up on us! Their food is awesome, with the Mongolian Beef and Singaporean Noodles standing out. We also got a lot of complementary food, such as the prawn crackers, ice (it was a hot day) and fortune cookies. Would recommend.

My family's other favourite Aussie-Chinese places around Hornsby closed down, but this has the honey chicken, sweet and sour pork, fried rice flavours you're looking for. I'm willing to pay more to eat here than other places, especially rainbow beef 😋

Takeaway is faster than dining in, but servings are a good size either way.

My first time to this restaurant. Tried the long soup. Amazingly good, the stock base was awesome. Soup comes with prawns, rosette cut carrot slices, beef, vegetables, noodles. Presentation 5/5. Taste 5/5. The lady serving I think is one of the owners, friendly, efficient, very personable. Service 5/5. The decor with many nice photographs, wooden top tables, many cushions.
My partner had the short soup with small dumplings, excellent she said. I can't wait to come back and try other dishes!

Living in Kariong and finding this Oasis is a blessing. A very friendly team and quality food is something to appreciate in your local community. Support them when you can

We got a takeaway from them last night, the stir fried was really fresh with loads of cashews. Sweet & Sour battered pork was really yum. Thanks again. Oh and prawn crackers were 10/10

Fantastic food and lovely staff! A short drive off the highway for dinner turned out to be a great decision. Highly recommend.

Soups are amazing. This has to be the best Chinese food out there. Generous portions and lovely people. We will be back again and again.

Excellent food and customer service, coconut chicken curry is my favourite but I haven't had a bad dish yet and I've tried almost everything.

This is the most delicious Chinese I have had in a long while. Every dish has been amazing. The restaurant is beautiful and very modern. The staff are always friendly. Prices are very reasonable. We go here regularly and absolutely love it!!

I’ve got a fancy credit card that gets me a table at the best, fanciest restaurants anywhere in the world. This is not one of them. The tables are not pressed linen, I don’t even think there is a wine list, the cutlery is not fine silver, however the food is exceptional. It’s like finding a fantastic restaurant in Hong Kong 30 years ago. It’s like eating 5 star in Shanghai without the price tag, not that it matters. Don’t expect a waiter with attitude, you may get a local kid, the husband and wife team that are the heart and soul of this place are wonderful, take my word on that. Take away’ s keep me going since Covid. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The prawns are exceptional, the chicken, pork or beef would easily replace that, but the prawns, ginger and shallots would be my recommendation.

I like this shop. I find the food good, the staff friendly and helpful and it’s fairly priced. I go here often. Thank you for your service

While not quite 'the same' as some of the other Chinese places on the Coast, this is a *huge* improvement over the owners some 9 years ago.
The food now is quite tasty, the portions generous, and as intimated, the service is very good!
Would recommend.
Now to try their Yum-Cha one Friday lunchtime :)
edit: just to clarify - "one star" for the service is "one *bonus* star" for the service :) - giving the full * * * * * rating!

One of two of the best rainbow steaks ive ever had everything else well up to standard fresh and the cheese burger spring rolls out of this world 😊

Great food, great staff, awesome price, we had a lunch outing for 4 and the kitchen even made the entree platter to suit the 4 of us.
Would recommend anytime!!
