Greenwood Homes & Granny Flats

I engaged Chris to build a granny flat in ‘federation style’ and can’t be happier with the result. During the design and construction phase everything was clearly explained and some challenges were overcome during the excavation process. Chris was patient and accommodating with some small additions and changes I made during the building process and delivered the project within budget and on time. Can highly recommend Greenwood Homes!

After already having a quote from another builder,I wanted to look around to see what other builders had to offer.
I contacted Chris from Greenwood Homes and straight away he gave me confidence that he knew what he was talking about,when he talked me through the process.
His quote was very competitive, so the decision was made to use Chris.
The build had a couple of challenges as most builds do,but it was no problem for Chris,he always sorted it out and his communication was excellent!!

I contracted Chris to build a granny flat in a difficult sloping site. Two of my short list wouldn't touch it! Greenwood won't be the cheapest, but they weren't the most expensive either. Chris and his builder, John care about the finish and my friends have commented on this when they've visited.

His subcontractors were first class, we will continue to use the electricians and plumbers for future needs, and the whole team was always very responsive.

I'm delighted with the outcome and our hassles along the way were minimal. Much of this pain comes with the initial regulations, and occasional delays for some product and services, usually beyond Chris's control.

I contracted Greenwood Home & Granny Flats to build a hub (20 square metres 5m x 4m) in my backyard. The final result turned out beautifully, we are 100% happy with the Hub.

Apart from outstanding built quality, another attribute about this business is communication. From day one I got in touch with them the communication between myself and Chris (the builder) was exceptional. Every call, every text and every email was responded almost immediately. It was explained to me every stage of the building process and I was informed when and who would turn-up next to work in the backyard. I am very impressed with the way you operate Chris. Well done!

We had the team from Greenwood Homes put up a carport we had purchased and I couldn't be happier with the professionalism of Chris and his teams. The work was done quickly and he communicated what would be happening and when very well. Thank you so much for being flexible and meeting our needs.

Chris is an honest and great builder. Takes the time out to go the extra mile. Would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking to build.

Unfortunately for us we trusted Chris to build our cabin and deck. For a substantial fee of tens of thousands of dollars, the work was rushed and unknown to us at the time, NOT built to the Building Code of Australia standards.
Remedial work in order to get a Building Certificate has subsequently cost us thousands of dollars. Some of the faults were lack of basic safety features such as the balustrading. We were horrified, as he knew full well we had a baby due at the time of build.
Further to this he made cash grabs during the build such as quoting nearly $400 extra for a basic light dimmer switch etc, and then he made intimidating un-announced visits when we asked for the job to be finished before final payments.

To confirm, this is a genuine review, the company never replied to requests to remediate the above and can expect to be hearing from Fairtrading NSW next, or the police if another intimidating visit occurs.
