Elm St Early Learning Centre

Our child has been at Elm St for over a year now. Our little one loves going to pre-school class and enthusiastically shares stories of their day with us. It's wonderful to see our child's excitement about school and the connections he's made with friends and teachers.

One of the standout qualities of Elm St is their attentive and caring staff and educators. It's evident they genuinely enjoy interacting with our child and take pride in his achievements.

This is an amazing community run centre, that has just been awarded “EXCEEDING expectations” in all areas. What makes Elm Street such a great place to send our kids are the Educators who run the centre. Without doubt, an amazing team who are all long serving, extremely skilled and have a genuine and fundamental care for all kids who attend.
Because of the long serving educators in the centre, our kids have a high level of consistency which is a huge advantage in these formative years.

After exploring many childcare centres a few years ago we finally settled on Elm St Early Learning Centre for our child. From the very beginning it felt like being welcomed into an extended family.

We love how it is community-based and not-for-profit. Parents have a say in what happens at the Centre as the Board of Directors is composed entirely of parents whose children are currently attending.

Staff are experienced and genuinely care for the children here, with many being long-term employees.

Most importantly, our child is happy here and learning so much, so we couldn't be happier ourselves!

The wonderful staff are genuinely kind and caring which is reflected in how much our son loves being with them. The curriculum is interest driven so children are always engaged in their learning. Also parent run and a ‘not for profit’ centre which gives it a lovely community feel. I highly recommend this service.

My family have moved through the centre from the nursery, toddler and now preschool. Watching my child grow and evolve under the care and guidance of the educators has been amazing. The activities and school preparation program is highly regarded - as demonstrated not only through their exceeding rating, but also through the number of teachers who send their own children to the centre!

Our children both started when they were around 7mths old. So for us, beyond the exceeding rating, the most important thing was trust. Trust that the team would be able to manage their allergies and trust the team would look after our children as we would at home.

The staff consistency and long tenure has also meant that our children have strong lasting bonds - spanning most of their lives! With this we know the team genuinely care for our kids which helps settle them (and us) quickly making leaving them that much easier.

Elm St Early Learning Centre is one of the best child care centres you can send your child too. The educators at the centre are so friendly, caring and knowledgeable. They run so many educational activities everyday and they have a great area both indoor and outdoor for the kids to play, explore and learn.

Amazing not for profit centre with an incredible preschool program, lovely long term staff and great community feel. We have been so happy here for the last 8 years as our 3 kids moved through the nursery, toddler and preschool rooms. We will miss Mildred and all the staff now our youngest is starting school.

Such an amazing centre - consistently EXCEEDING expectations - my kids love it and love the team. They miss it when they are not there!

Being a not for profit centre you know that the money is going back into the your children, the centre and maintaining the staff whom have all been there for a long time - giving my children the consistency and stability they need to create lasting bonds - so important in the early years!

I love the educators and the history of the centre brings the good spirit. My all three kids been here at Elms and I do love and respect their passion about their philosophy.
