Historic brick bridge opened in 1839. Oldest of it's type in Australia and is still in use on the main highway Devonport to Hobart

Bridge was interesting in the construction and the wood carvings beside the bridge were beautify (so skilfully done). Interesting how the top slabs of stone are held in place with steel cleats or pins?

Tasmania's oldest red brick bridge, different in construction to Richmond and Ross Bridges. Worth pulling over either side of the bridge and exploring with nearby play ground and sculptures.
