Regal Restaurant

Yesterday we had lunch at Regal. We have heard great reviews from other people we know who are gluten free. We had gluten free dumplings, fried rice, chicken chow mein with rice noodles and beef with cashews. Everything was amazing and fresh and super tasty! We will definitely be back!

It truly surprised me. We were wondering about visiting this store for a long time, but were worried because of the reviews others left for this restaurant. Finally decided to try it out and all dishes were perfectly made. It should be how Chinese cuisine tastes traditionally. Guys, plz try to be nice and real. We have been in Canberra for more than one year and haven't been to any place that owns the same traditional flavours in our memories as this store does. BTW, we ordered Fish in SiChuan Sauce, Shredded Pork in YuXiang Sauce, and Salted Fish Bean Curd Hot Pot. Will be back for all other expectations and possibilities.

What a vibe this place had. The night we came in there was a huge group takeaway orders and tables to fill and the service was just top notch friendly and as run off their feet as they were still shared smiles everywhere. We got the Regal chicken special and a combination egg foo yong or omelette to some. The omelette was so hot fresh and yum when we got home it was as if it came straight out the kitchen still and we love 12 minutes from the place. It didn't get much look in as it was gone the minute my husband opened it which is a great sign. The regal chicken was delicious. Crispy fried chicken with a fish sauce based dip and it did not disappoint. I was originally after a chie mein but I couldn't get past reading that on the menu so I got it and I'd get it again as that was very very delicious. While sitting g there we met a local and he told us he had been going there for some time and recommended any dish on their menu including black beans steak if you like that, the salt and pepper squid and also he said the rices are nice too. So will be returning. They are closed Tuesdays and there is parking out the front. Dine in and take away also available and phone orders. Sorry didn't get any pics but will next time.

Great suburban Chinese restaurant with plenty of gluten free coeliac safe dishes to choose from. Highly recommend

Regal is our go-to local for Chinese. The food is consistently good and the laksas, my favourite, are excellent. They're also very good with their gluten-free options, which is great for my wife. Heartily recommended.

The chicken noodles and Rouga bun is so good. It's the same taste as i have eaten in China, especially the Rouga bun. Strongly recommend the Rouga bun.

If you want glitz and glamour this is not the place for you. If you want good food and a family feel then give it a try. Been both eating in and having take a way from here for as long as I can remember.

Such an amazing find. The first place I’ve found that has so many gluten free options. Serving sizes were great and good value for money with plenty of meats and not just filling with too much veg

Regal is awesome. Got the fried fish pieces and vego fried rice. The portions were really big and the food delicious. Was so good decided to write a review. Definitely coming back for more. Quality food

Salt and pepper tofu and vegetable dumplings were great, would definitely try again

Had Mongolian bean curd, skin was super crispy and soft flavourful tofu, kung po chicken very moist and delicious and cumin beef also soft and just melts but not really my cup of tea
