Soul Origin Top Ryde Level LG2

2.4 - Opposite Woolworths on LG2 is this Soul Origin. I used to always swing by to see what salads they have on offer because at Town Hall station, they have a special offer of $6/box after work. However, every time I come here, it is marked as more. I used to really like the Green Lentils and Barley but they don't have it anymore. I've also tried the Roast Vegetables, which had cheese in it so I avoided it too. I haven't been back much lately as I prefer the atmosphere of the one upstairs near Coles.

The barista uses the TABLE CLOTH to clean the STEAM WAND. Absolutely disgusting and goes against basic hygiene principles and common sense. I'm a licensed barista myself and this is the first thing they teach you NOT TO DO in the 101 course. The barista then told me that they clean the towel every half an hour. So does that mean every customer who buys a coffee has to risk cross contamination until they clean the towel at the 30 minute mark?

Do better, get an extra cloth just for cleaning the steam wand. It is not hard. Otherwise, you shouldn't even be serving coffee.

Also the coffee was very watery.

If I could give zero stars, I would.

I paid for 2 lattes and an almond croissant at 4:30pm and asked for my croissant to be toasted. They refused to toast it claiming that “the oven was closed.” I was upset by this as there wasn’t even any other customers that they had and it was such an easy request to fulfill for a paying customer and they denied. Even the seating area was closed off early. Not a good experience for paying customers.

On friday morning, came to this store to purcahse some food. But the Barristor was only serving customers for coffee. And another stuff was busy with preparing salads. There were people including myself waiting more than 15 minutes, they were so upset so started leaving. I left soon after as well. Obviouly we were all upset with their poor service. I recommed this store should only take online order not offline.
