Rocksalt Restaurant

I love coming here, it's a lovely sparkly gem of hawker. This unassuming cafe packs a punch when it comes to service and food. Staff are attentive and provide efficient service in a warm and approachable manner. Water was provided straight away. Drinks were served quite quickly after placing the order and my knife replaced with a steak knife before the food arrived. No matter how many times I go, the food presentation is impressive. Servings are generous and taste delicious. Hotcakes where light and fluffy, and cooked all the way through, a success for a hotcake so thick. The banana bread was satisfying, not overly sweet, not too dense, and still full of great banana flavour. I loved seeing morning steak on the menu - it makes me nostalgic. This item even blew away my great memories. If you've never had Steak n Eggs for breakfast this is the place to do it. Steak was cooked well, though a little under seasoned for my taste. The bacon was crispy, the eggs just runny and without an acidic after taste, an the holindaise was delicate and creamy. It's a great place to come again, and bring friends.

A couple of beers the night prior saw the need for a bacon sandwich and boy did this place deliver! There is a good chance it was the best bacon sandwich I’ve ever paid for. There was so much bacon it was spilling out the sides.
I added a hash brown and my mate got egg and cheese… Both were phenomenal.
Highly recommended!

Consistently good meals and service. A regular favourite ‘go to’ cafe for catch up with family and friends. Both indoor and outdoor seating and pet friendly for outdoor dining.

I had no water and I was walking to the bus thirsty and I walked up the rock salt and I asked “hey can you guys fill up my water bottle please” and a really nice worker said sure do you want some ice and I was so happy! 🙂

The brekky wrap is always great and coffee is good. Quick, friendly service too.

First time customer and was not disappointed. Will definitely be back. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating available.

Had a beaut breakfast here today. Field mushrooms, had a side of bacon. Coffee was great and really good service.

Amazing random work lunch stop, definitely coming back for dinner soon. Definitely worth a try, didn't expect that kind of quality at hawker shops 10/10.

Always a great coffee and cake at Rock Salt. Generally a busy place but always a quite corner to sit in to enjoy a coffee or meal.
Full menu and licensed restaurant. Service is always with a smile. Thanks Krista for great service today.

Really nice coffee and delicious food. The takeaway menu is fantastic value (thank you for that it's a blessing) and the dine in menu is excellent too.

I've lived in Hawker for a few years now and a number of the front of house staff have been there all this time which has to mean it's a great place to work.

If you're in the area and this isn't your local - it should be!

We just had lunch at Rocksalt. I had the Steak Sandwich and my husband had the pulled pork enchilada. The steak Sandwich was great. The steak was thick, well cooked and easy to eat. My husband said his Enchilada was lovely as well. Wait staff were lovely. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. Will go there again

Had a great breakfast here, they were very busy but made sure we were well looked after and everyone walked away satisfied!

Consistently good. Chris has kept his prices reasonable and not tried to price gouge like so many other restaurants. Got some good waitstaff on board too, the young lady who served us was made for hospitality. Lucky to have this place as my local. I’ll be back........soon.

Great big breakfast. Coffee was also quite good. Staff and manager where quite nice and understanding despite arriving just as they opened. A great place to start the day or continue the day. Everything was out faster then I had expected and the water they give you tastes good. Would recommend people try it out.
