Absolutely amazing Miso Ramen!! Not expensive yet loaded with ingredients and tasty broth. Seating area is a little small so it could fill up quick at busy times. But even if there's a wait, the ramen is well worth it. Loved it!

This is a great japanese restaurant at a fairly reasonable price point. The teriyaki steak was really good value, it was nicely cooked and very delicious. The grilled mackerel was good (but you need to eat with soy sauce as otherwise its not much flavour). Gyoza was nice.

The lady serving us was very friendly and was quick with service, despite working on her own at the front.

There isn’t much to complaint about. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing taste, amazing quality, amazing value! Can't fault this place at all, other than the usual wait times as it's usually packed for dine-in. But the wait is well worth it! The tonkotsu ramen here is arguably the best we've had in Perth!

Kai Japanese has been around for years, a testimonial of the quality cuisine it served, despite the small restaurant.
The wait time during peak period during dinner time can be frustratingly long but the system works well enough for the queue to be constant.
Their pork broth ramen is authentic & rich in flavour, with generous serving of pork slides.
Their teriyaki chicken lunch set is also delicious with generous chicken slides top with miso soup and salad.
Worth a visit if you don’t mind the risk of waiting for a table.

Tip: best time to visit is weekdays lunchtime after 1pm. You will often find tables easily when it’s off peak times.

Such a lovely and simple Japanese store! It’s our first time sitting in for a meal with little one. Staffs were helpful and friendly and not to mention having good business through phone orders! Very tasty and satisfying meal. Would definitely come by or do a phone order whenever there’s craving for Japanese food!

As you know in every restaurant the ramen broth makes a great difference. Here, I find the broth a bit creamy, not so concentrated, and is different from other ramen dishes in Nao, Fremantle market, Vic Park and Carrousel. Although the ramen here is not a homemade type the texture is still acceptable. I like their tonkotsu ramen. The fried chicken (karaage) of the ramen was very nice and tasty. I enjoyed the meal. Will I return to this Kai? Surely, I will. (March 2021)

Yuri Son, the boss and the big chef, has spent 30 years cooking ramen. Today, we revisited Kai just for Tonkotsu ramen. Surprisingly, the soup has creaminess in between Keisuke Tonkotsu King ramen soup and Hakata ramen soup. In addition, it was very smooth and easy to drink. Am I so lucky today? Haha, what can I say...just know my good mode got charged higher. (April 2021)

This tiny Japanese restaurant has delicious pork broth ramen (tonkotsu), my kids always have it with their delicious karage chicken. Reasonable price! Highly recommended!

Authentic Japanese cuisine as always, and the Kai Bento especially is top class! Great value for money and my go-to for casual Japanese. The lady who works there is very nice :)

Just had the combination bento box and it was the best we've had from here. Absolutely delicious. Also had the gyoza dumplings which were equally yummy.

We had sushi 🍣! No1! Freshly made! Great tasting! Very friendly stuff! Very busy in the little shop. Will be back definitely 🙏

The food is good, left with a full belly even we can't finish our course so had take away containers. 2 mains and 2 tea for less than $34. Very affordable and tasty. Will come over again.

Outstanding Japanese food! Ramen is to die for! Kai also has a great range of other Japanese delights. Space is limited to sit down so at peak times there may be a wait. Take out is an option. Prices are very reasonable so definitely worth a visit! 5 out 5 would eat again!

Value for money Japanese food. Good tonkutsu Ramen with very rich broth. Also had the bento set which had killer karage chicken and fresh sashimi. Amazing amazing food. Highly recommend

As a family we have enjoying Kai Japanese for over 10 years and it has become one of our favourite places to go out for a meal. The chef is Japanese and so are the staff, which adds to the authentic feel.

The food has always been consistently delicious and relatively inexpensive. We particularly like the Beef Set, yum!

Warning! It is tiny restaurant with only a few tables so be prepared to wait if you go at a busy time. Fortunately, they have list that you can add your name to and they will call you back when a table become available.

The Kai Bento is incredibly delicious. It's like a gathering of every Japanese food that I enjoy! For the price and what you get, it's honestly such a deal.

The only downside is it's quite a tiny space and can run out of room depending on the time.
