I have just spend four beautiful days in a Nest cabin. It was so very relaxing and had everything I needed for the stay. Although it rained, it didn't hamper my enjoyment at all, it just made the green, greener and birds chirpier. I enjoyed a very relaxing spa on a day where I pampered myself. I appreciated that I knew Amanda and team are working to continue to reduce the environmental footprint of Blue Gums.

One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. We were in Nest 1 for two nights and it was so peaceful there. The accommodation was well equipped and comfortable to stay in, will all sorts of birds just outside our windows. Hoping to come back soon! Thank you for a great stay 🙂

Fabulous venue for a weekend away by myself. The most tranquil beautiful outlook, visited by birds each morning. Accommodation was excellent. Would recommend to anyone looking for a romantic weekend or an escape.

We loved Valley Views house at Blue gums cabins. We Loved the big comfy sofa and the fire pit outside and can’t wait to return to gather around the fire inside. The wildlife wandering about and night skies were amazing too, so many stars.lots of games
and books for kids and adults LOVED the view with a glass of wine. great going for breakfast at Meg’s in dungog. Amanda and Gav are so welcoming! Can’t wait to go back.

Had a awesome stay at blue gum cabins for 3 nights. Customer service is brilliant, and self check in is even better. I was a late arrival and it was such a smooth process with organising a late check in. The cabin is well thought out and you get daily visitors of amazing wildlife. Close to barrington tops national park, great reception for optus on cabin property. I will be telling everyone to come here as its just beautiful and peaceful!! Thanks for making my stay enjoyable..

Such a slice of heaven! So relaxing and the perfect place to go to slow down, connect with nature, and remember what is really important.
I loved all the wildlife that visited my cabin whenever I relaxed out in the hammock. The quiet and calmness of the bush was so enjoyable.
Bring along everything you need to entertain yourself, or enjoy walking through the estate, or a visit to the dam. If you are in need of a fancy coffee or sweet treats, then be sure to visit Dungog (20mins drive) and stop at Meg's kitchen - so many delicious options.
Nights by the fireplace were toasty and hypnotic while listening to the nocturnal animals getting up to mischief, and the big comfy bed was perfect for a good night's sleep. I left the roof skylight open each night to be awoken by the natural light in the morning - no alarms necessary!... I awoke refreshed and eager to enjoy another day and was so very sad when I had to leave.
Highly recommend this place to escape the rat-race and enjoy some peace and quiet!

What a wonderful mini-break, the cabin was well appointed, with everything needed for a few days holiday. We enjoyed it, close to the pool/tennis court and only 25 minutes to Dungog. Super restful and great to see the wallabies who love to visit.

We, a group of 6 families, 17 people stayed in two 4 bedrooms cabins. The cabins were great and the view were also very beautiful. All families had a unforgettable experience!

We came to stay at the Lilypond cabin for respite from the city and rest during my partners cancer fight. We found what we were needing and more. We loved hanging in the provided hammock swings on the patio and being visited by the wildlife (king parrots, kookaburras, pademelon and a very gentle possum). The cabin itself was clean, linen was fresh, the spa was relaxing and furnishings were very nice. The pool and recreation area are not far and well worth a visit. The owners (a friendly family) leave you alone during the stay but are not far if needed. All in all we recommend this place for rest and wildlife. There are bush walking and site seeing activities nearby too if that's your purpose. Great place and will come again.

We came here to celebrate our 30th Wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. A cozy, comfortable cabin in beautiful scenery. Loved the hammocks, four poster bed , spa bath and the log fire which made for a romantic escape. Our hosts were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend

Awesome stay took myself a few days to settle down and really feel myself unwind so I'm glad we stayed a few nights. Had a very memorable baby moon with my partner who was 29 weeks pregnant I feel like the nest was the perfect place to sit for a few days.
For those wanting to explore the walks in this part of Barrington this makes a great base camp a 2wd can get you to a lot of places from here.

Very beautiful and serene location, perfect isolation for partner and I. The hosts were very helpful with providing information on the location and the communication was satisfactory. Fireplace was conveniently prepared for us, all we had to do was light it up and add some firewood that the hosts kindly prepare and supply. Brownies were also left for us on arrival which I especially am thankful for! I did however find a nice and friendly huntsman lurking in the kitchen, but this is the Australian country so no surprises :) easily captured and put outside. :)

We had a great time in one of the 'Nest' cabins. It was such a nice quiet escape from our busy lives and the surrounding areas were great to explore. Our hosts left us great quality coffee and chocolate brownie which is always a plus. The wildlife was also a highlight... a friendly possum ate pieces of apple from our hands and the bird watching kept us entertained for ages.

Stayed in the Folly with my wife and 3 and 4 year old kids for 4 nights. Absolutely perfect. The cabin has everything you need and the view is great. Kangaroos everywhere and plenty of space for the kids to run around. Dungog and Jerusalem falls are really close by and great to visit too

Loved the cabin and the wildlife. So much wildlife to watch, there were also lizards, wide variety of birds even a micro bat came to visit, and although there is a tv in the cabin we had no use for it, the peace and the nature calls were all we needed. The weather wasn't great, the local area fell into darkness, but Amanda was a lovely and helpful host during something she had no control over. We look forward to going back there again.

Went there around April in the Possum Cabin and absolutely loved it - would recommend it to anyone wanting a secluded place to stay. It's definitely a great spot if you want to get away from the city life. The bathroom floors were heated which was great for colder months! We had everything we needed - though we weren't able to master the Microwave Oven but the gas stove top was great, and we had a dishwasher.

You will mostly likely see wildlife right outside cabin (wallabies, bush turkeys etc). We has some furry visitors at night - some very curious and adorable possums. We fed a few, and funnily enough one preferred grapes and the other pears.

The hosts were very friendly and informative about things to see and do around the area.

I would recommend bringing along some extra movies and board games.

So peaceful and tranquil, with many visits from animals. The King Parrots were just stunning. As well as visiting Chichester Dam, we enjoyed a few of the nearby walks in the Barrington Tops National Park. The 16km return Rocky Crossing trail was the most spectacular.

My partner and I stayed 2 nights and didn't want to leave it was very relaxing on the hammocks listening to nothing but the beautiful sounds of the birds.
Possum cabin is a beautiful true blue bush cabin perfect winter getaway. Jody absolutely loved the brownies . A big thankyou to Amanda. If I had to pick a negative it would only be some extra fire wood would have been nice. Perfect host, perfect getaway. See you again soon
