The Long Room

We stopped in at the Long Room for lunch after finding that the prices of the Long Room were much more reasonable than the bistro down the road (which we walked into, saw the prices, then immediately walked out again).

We ordered a couple of burgers and coffees then took seats outside. Shortly after, our coffees and burgers all came out at the same time, which was nice. The burgers were delicious and of generous sizes. But the nicest surprise was the coffee: I'm not sure what brand they're brewing up at the Long Room but it was a nice strong coffee without being at all bitter - a very pleasant surprise as I can't stand bitter coffee.

We sat at our outdoor seating and enjoyed a lovely afternoon meal in a quiet small town.

I have travelled many kms around the country, the Long Room is a great find. Lovely " Big Breakfast " , friendly staff and a nice location . Definitely recommend if in the area.

Grabbed some coffees, bacon and egg rolls and chicken salad sandwiches in the morning. Honest country Cafe fare, reasonable wait considering they were getting busy. The sandwiches were stuffed with qood quality salad. Would call in again.

Came here for lunch last weekend. Had the chicken salad wrap each and some wedges to share. Delicious! Nice and friendly staff and felt welcome to stay as long as we needed. Stayed about an hour as we had to wait for my toddler daughter to finish eating and also had to feed my 3 month old. Recommend 👍🏼

1000000% recommend everyone. I always appreciate when cafes have GF options so it was astounding that they had a whole menu of diverse delicious options. I had a GF beef burger and it was the most delicious thing ever. Great bubbly service and it was super quick. In a perfect sunny, quiet spot. Hidden gem!! make sure you drop in

I live in newcastle but every time I’m in Dungog I always stop here! their food and coffee is amazing along with their customer service! The fresh wraps are my favourite!!!

Stopped because it was the first place we saw and subsequently went back again !!! Very Clean , honest , proper tea in a cup and saucer, good coffee and the best beef and salad sandwich to share ever.
