We didn't do the tour just browsed the shop. The lady that was working on Thursday morning was extremely lovely and very informative on the questions we asked her. She even gave us some suger cane juice too try which was very much appreciated, so thankyou

Very informative tour with lots of tastings. Good cafe and shop.
Easy parking next to the information centre and art gallery.
It has a scaled down version of the machinery that is used in the full sized sugar mill directly behind it. The picture is of the actual working mill behind.

Have been previously and had an awesome time. The staff are amazing at what they do. We had family visiting so if course we had to bring them for a visit, they enjoyed it too. The cafe does amazing food and of course purchasing a few things from the shop is a must.

Wow 🤩 we did both sugar and rum tour, and it did not disappoint! Tour guides were full of information and was unbelievable what the process was for sugar cane. Don’t want to give too much away, but if your a local and haven’t done this yet or passing through I highly recommend. Glad we got a platter needed to soak up the taste testing. If your a relish fan, you must try their variety’s. Staff were lovely and very knowledgeable. A must see!!!

We did the general sugar shed tour, had great information and kept the kids engaged for the hour. They loved the fairy floss at the end and Des was a fantastic tour guide with the right balance of info and humour. Taste testing of the products including the distillery products was well worth it. Would recommend booking tickets as our tour was sold out.

We were trying to find something different to do with the kids ages 1, 3 and 4. What a great and recommended tour! Arrived early, a great park right next door. Started the tour with the most lovely lady Des. She was so knowledgeable, and so interactive. We often feel we are a nuisance taking kids out, but she immediately included them and we are so greatful for that. A highlight was definitely all the taste testing. So many great goodies to buy, a cute little affordable Cafe helped us finish it off. Award winning and very obvious why they are 👌

Despite the hot day, the tour was excellent. Big umbrellas provided to help with portable shade as we saw the the outside exhibits.
Informative and entertaining, a walk through historical innovations of the machinery made or modified for the harvest and cultivation was also fascinating.
The sugar processing was interesting too, have cooked and baked from basics for over 40 years and still learned more to help with future sugar choices.
Loved it!
The taste test area was terrific, all locally made products from the marmalade to the liqueurs and a definite encouragement to take some home.
Highly recommended tour run by fantastic knowledgeable locals.

The cafe was a hit as well, great coffee with a side of scone, cream and jam before our tour served with a warm welcome and genuine smile.

Fantastic little place. Way better than I was expecting tbh. Did a tour with my husband and two small kids, learnt a tonne, got to do heaps of tastings including ginger beer, chutneys and sauces, liquors, and fairy floss for all. Stayed for lunch which was delicious and enormous. Highly recommend!

Even if I think it’s a bit too expensive, the experience was very nice. Very interactive and entertaining, even for kids (not only because they get to test fairy floss at the end;). Our tour guide was very friendly, funny and didn’t rush through the things (we could take time to look at the machinery by ourselves) - even if the sugar-process is not shown in ,live, you get to see the machinery used and the guide explains everything step-by-step.

Brilliant tour - we did a combined tour - our tour hostess delivered a very informative talk covering all aspects of the industry.
Overall all staff very friendly & polite - spent too much on goods but enjoyed the experience very much.

I walked in for my pre-booked tour and was greeted by Gillian, who was to be our tour guide. I was absolutely floored that she not only noticed my walking stick (I dare not put 'cane' 😂) but she promptly arranged to have a chair for me so I wouldn't have to stand while she talked to us all. She was such a delightful and happy person throughout and presented the huge amount of information in a way that was fresh and fascinating. I'm surprised how much of it I can still remember. Top experience. Would recommend the tour and shop, with onsite cafe, to everyone.
