Lake Murphy Conservation Park

Small flat camping area .
Long drop toilets bbq bring your own wood. Went after rain so Robinson's creek had water flowing. Plenty of bird life ,and occasionally wallabies.

A great location for native wildlife. Camping/picnic area is neat and tidy with BBQ's, Tables, and Toilet.

Great little camp ground. Lots of birds and wildlife. Best to see the dry lake after heavy rain. Easy graded dirt road.

Toilets, running water to wash up in (not drink), picnic area and campground with fire facilities. The kids had a blast!

Ludwig Leichardt camped here in 1844..how good is that.the grounds and facilities r very well maintained.

Pleasant spot to sit and chill without too many people around. A couple of short walks. Need to book campsite beforehand and byo water, firewood and rubbish bag.

This would be a good stop for travelers. BBQ toilets, camping and walking trails. All weather gravel road from the Leichhardt Hwy

A nice camping and picnic area with the usual basic facilities in good condition. A nice nature walk even if the lake is dry. Plenty of wildlife. This is a good place to spend a night when traveling around the Sandstone belt national parks.

A little Oasis off the beaten track but worth the drive even if the corrugations can be a little shuddering.

Out of the way,nice and peaceful but no water in lake.

Possibly the worst example of a conservation park ever. It's a picnic area with no ecological significance. As usual for Qld it is a place for freeloaders to wreck by burning habitat, and as a consequence there is zero mid and understory, apart from weed grass. However, it is a great place to witness desertification as there is remnant rainforest being replaced by dysfunctional woodland trees and nothing else. Very little bird life apart from common, large species. Brings tears to the eyes...
