My local hotel. I catch up with friends I have known for over 35years. Helen and Andrew are the best owners, hosts. Danny is the best senior bar manager. Ex jockey that always has a tip or 2 for the TAB

Great country pub with a reasonable menu, staff for very friendly and catered for a table for 5 close to closing. The food was as you would expect from a country pub, no complaints there. The beer garden was nice, would definitely be back, if I pass that way again.

Had a work dinner there on Tuesday 13/7. The atmosphere was spectacular with the new design. The food was fantastic and super tasty. The beers were icy cold and went down well. We were pretty impressed. We will definitely come bac again

The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the special Nutella desert, the pizza bases were freshly made and it was great (even took photos so we could try to replicate at home). Thank you for your amazing hospitality. The place looks amazing.

Young staff were helpful and very friendly. Liked their black and white checked shirts. Pan fried salmon with roast veggies was delicious. Highly recommend the food and the outside Garden area.

We have just had our first meal at the royal since it has been renovated.
It is now elegent but friendly at the same time , food was amazing , staff were attentive .

Had a family celebration on Saturday with 11 members, the setting was great, service excellent, and food served quickly to all guests. Thank you and we will return.

Lovely staff, great service, delicious meals. Love that you can have access to the salad/vege bar with your meals. We also LOVED the entree we had - Chilli, cheese and bacon bread.

Is there a better pub to spend a Friday night or a Sunday afternoon at, awesome central locations, great friendly staff, $7 steak and chips and good value beers on tap (Ice cold) been coming here for years and will continue to while I'm able, thinking about it now has lead to this review.

Beautiful place .. went here as a surprise from the N.T .. visiting family and it was AMAZING.. Staff were Absolutely fantastic food was delicious.. but mostly had a fat time .. Thanks to EVERYONE

First visit in a long time, nice cold beer at decent prices.

Wow! What a beautiful reno to this old pub. Simple pub food, reasonably priced and tasty. Fantastic outdoor eating area and wood fires.

Owners of such a delightfully friendly pub keep improving this renowned Toowoomba Northside hotel. Major quality development brings an outside well-spaced eating area equipped with open fireplace & a beautiful brick wall muting Ruthven St traffic. Landscaping retains licensees' stylish stamp. Meals are consistently good - order medium rare Tbone & that's what you'll get. Top pubfare & potato bake to write homeabout. Their events shed with verandah seems very popular. Public bar still accommodates despite restrictions. Merle Thornton chained herself to Brisbane's Regatta's public bar in 1965 for a good reason like this pub. Regular patrons looking forward to the new north-facing bistro.
