Birdwood Downs Station

Only stayed overnight. Staff were wonderful. About 6 vehicles at the end of the season before the wet hits. A beautiful place to stop. Amenities are clean . Love the bird life. Yes it was dry but loved walkinging around the area looking at fresh prints in the dust at 6am. Trying to work out what animal made that track. The white peacock is amazing, and very friendly.

An excellent place for a couple of days just off the Gibb River rd. Plenty of space, community fire, shade. Amenities are older but fine and you can buy station meat. Well worth a stopover

A very pleasant and safe place to stay whilst in the Derby area. Also a great spot to finish the Gibb River Rd run. Great people that are more than willing to help travellers.

So much room to park up. Nice quiet grounds. Unpowered sites. Water available. Dump point. Only 17 klms drive to Derby.

This place is an awesome place to start your Gibb River Rd trip. Craig and Leanne are awesome hosts and drinks round the fire pit on an evening is great to get to know your fellow travellers. Spacious camp sites and plenty of wildlife to see. Would definitely visit again.

Had 3 relaxing days in a savannah hut. Was hoping to go to the gorges but the roads were not open. Craig and Leanne could not have been more welcoming. We even had a roast dinner cooked for us. The animals are great to watch

Great place as an alternative to Derby. Communal fire pit, camp kitchen. Beef straight from the land - amazing!

Absolutely amazing place kids loved it here and the location is great and they also have some of the best meat I have ever tried go heck it out

Camp hosts most welcoming with central campfire at night. Beautiful established gardens and yes their are frogs. A nice safe way to start or finish the Gib.

Fabulous respite! Shaded, spacious camping with clean showers and toilets! Camp kitchen area terrific and campfire at 5pm. Just stayed overnight but wished had longer. Terrific sunset

A great place to stay and leave your caravan before hitting the Gibb River Road $6:50 a day storing. And when you pick up, you can wash your car, it will be dirty trust me.

Beautiful spot to base yourself to explore the area. Peaceful and the best sausage sandwich I have eaten, all around the campfire.

A save place to leave your caravan when visiting Derby.
No power but can hook up to water, has showers and toilets.

Excellent place to stay for a night or two, very spacious with very good amenities.

Great place to relax and unwind, shady, beautiful campsites, great camp hosts. Would stay again.

We loved this spot and had an entire field to ourselves for 4 of our 5 days.
Amenities a tad dated but ok. NO DUMP POINT
