Oh boy, kicking ourselves for not trying this place any earlier after reading the mixed Google reviews. Absolutely divine food with every single dish and excellent customer services! Anthony is one of the super star staff here who is an absolute delight!
It is so hard to pick a favourite dish here as each one of them has its own uniqueness! But if I had to pick one, it’ll have to be the Miso Toothfish, and the Karubi Ribs for my husband. We go all out every time we come here as we just cannot limit ourselves to certain dishes. As per other Google reviews & recommendations, duck meatballs is super delicious and does get sold out every now and then. This place certainly is very comparable to Nobu but won’t empty your pockets as fast! The only thing to be aware of is the seatings are a little cramped and lighting is a little dim inside (if you have any eye sight disorder in the dark) but otherwise I absolutely love the atmosphere too :) Thank goodness it’s better to be late than never to discover this place! We’ll become a regular here no doubt!

Great Japanese restaurant with very cool dishes.
The staff is amazing, very kind, and helpful, especially Haru. She went above and beyond with my order. Also, many thanks to the chef.
The food was delicious.
A great restaurant is perfect for a casual date, catch-up with friends or solo eating.
I'll be back to try more dishes.

I went for dinner date ☺ and it was perfect 🤩 when I did the booking I told them I would like to start with two glasses of Japanese Plum Wine and a Shroom Taco to surprise my partner ... and it was perfect. A small touch just added to the perfect night. Thank You 🤗 We had Emperor Roll, Buta Kakuni, Street Duck Meatballs. Highly recommended!

It has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, the food is yummy and the mocktails are refreshing. The cauliflower popcorn was my favorite although I didn’t see it on the menu last time. The sashimi is fresh and delicious.

Came for lunch recently and really enjoyed it. My friend had the aburi salmon don and he really said it was better than expected.

I had the unagi don and I thought the servings were pretty generous. It tasted amazing too.

Service was great. Waiter were friendly and accommodating.

Place feels a bit dim. Great for dinner but probably not so much for lunch. Though understandable because they specialise on their dinner service. But still a great lunch spot for tasty Japanese treat.

Definitely worth a visit. Look forward to returning!

My fav lunch and dinner restaurant with fusion servings, especially the cauli popcorn, their ramen and the matcha (condense) milk tea. Make sure you book in advance and have enough spare time on their popular days, coz everytime I was there, they were jam packed. Staffs are friendly, attentive and the service was quite reasonable even in their busiest hours, I didn't have to wait too long. Highly recommended.

Exceptional food. Cool vibe with the hip hop and rnb tunes as well. Enjoyed the miso edamame beans, pork gyozas, chicken tenderloin, miso butter toothfish, two different tacos, assorted nigiri sushi and drinks

We were looking for something to eat in the CBD after a long day of walking around. Found this on Google Maps and made a reservation online.

Place was a little difficult to find on Google Maps and we missed the shop a few times. But once we found it, the first thing we noticed was there's a cutout of best girl bunny girl senpai at the front of the shop. Passed the vibe check there.

Food was delicious japanese fusion and we loved the sushi tacos! Ramen was nice as well. Of course, you can't compare it to what you'd get in Japan but it's still delicious on a chilly spring evening.

Service was prompt and friendly, and we enjoyed our dinner here.

It's a second time I come here and I just want to comment on the service I received last night.
I asked for something to keep my sake warm and I was brought a warm bucket plus I asked for my ramen medium hot and I was warned that it would be quite spicy but I didn't expect how actually spicy it was.
After trying my ramen I could not eat it and I was offered to make it less spicy. I was definitely surprised by how accommodating the staff were.
The quality of food is good. Sake is different and nice.
I will definitely be back again.

We were here to try their Volcano ramen that we heard quite often about. It didn't disappoint. Flavour was gutsy and tasty. This ramen was filled with seafood. Seafood was generous in amount, fresh and yum. I loved the fried soft shelled crab. Def a must try. We picked normal for spicyness and it's already very spicy. If you can't take spicy food, please choose less spicy.

Their Salmon Aburi Don was smaller in portion, but for me, its just right as I don't eat much carb. It was yum.

They also served alcohol at the venue. Which we will try when we come back to try their dinner menu.

Service was rather slow but we did come close to the closing time.

We had a lovely dinner and walked out full and slightly tipsy after a few of the Sapporo imperial pints. Cool venue with a range of contemporary Japanese dishes and some classics. The nigiri was so fresh. The duck meatballs and spatchcock were something different and delicious all the same

One of the restaurant that falls of my radar and then somehow i get to try it with my friends. And this is my 2nd time. The menu has interesting names and they have starred recommendations for what to order. We ordered the cauliflower pop, prawn sirracha roll, unagi roll, pork belly dish. It is actually very good. For drink we ordered yuzu soda and ice matcha latte which is also good. The cauliflower surprisingly very nice so you will definitely like it, the unagi roll is so big so just make a note. The prawn sirracha roll has enough tanginess and spice its just so nice. The pork belly has crispy skin and good combo with the gochuchang. Overall was a pleasant night and i can highly recommend this place to try

Had an absolutely amazing experience. Look we did have to wait in line for about 15 minutes and our food for 15 as well. However, I noted that they already had 3 reservations already present so considering for such a small restaurant, they served us kindly and quite fast! The food was definitely worth the wait! It was my partner and my first time coming to MSR and it was very enjoyable!
Service amazing, food immaculate, great atmosphere, cheap prices for such good quality food! An amazing gem in Perth! Will stop by when I'm in the facinity next! Thank you!~

Very yummy food. Of course, pricey end, however worth it for a night out. You might not be full from just the food, different experience from a usual restaurant!

The food here is so yummy! It's all high quality and very authentic. I recommend the Onsen Gyu don which tastes just like what I ate in Japan. I really enjoy the drinks mixed with yuzu syrup which is kind of hard to find in Perth. The interior design is urban Japanese. Service was fantastic.
