This beautifully crafted pottery store is a must stop whilst in Fremantle. (I went twice whilst visiting for a week) Unique functional wares to compliment any home. The sights, smells and sounds make for a wonderful experience. You can even book a class to make your own creation. It's a little gem amongst many cool shops and eateries.

I had the immense privilege to attend the pottery workshop with my Mom. We had a fabulous day immersing ourselves in the clay. As my mind became quiet, I was able to relax and enjoy the creative process. I can highly recommend the workshop.

A gorgeous afternoon of collaboration, community and ceramics!! I loved both of the workshops I have done with Simone, she is so knowledgeable and creative. And as she says, theres NOTHING she can't fix! Such a pleasure to be in her beautiful space and I can't wait to pick up my new piece soon.

I recently flew to Australia from New Zealand to visit family. My mother and I spent a lovely afternoon with Simone at Winterwares getting creative and enjoying each other's company. Simone was charming, funny and we left after making our mugs with a couple of small gifts from her as well as her knowledge on ceramics. I recently attended a workshop and I was absolutely blown away!! It was the most incredible workshop experience I have ever had. From the beautiful welcoming to the meditation and tea, truly DEVINE nourishing lunch and afternoon tea and cake - I am truly so grateful and still in awe! Ana was especially wonderful - her ongoing support, knowledge, endless time and encouragement was so appreciated as I definitely struggled with my creation. Thank you again Simone, Ana and team - I can’t wait to visit again soon!

- And not least, the beauty of being creative, working with your hands with an earthy material like clay. The process enriches the soul enabling calmness and reflection. It is healing, therapeutic, a form of meditation.
As a teacher, Simone is second to none. She teaches practical skills superbly and she is achieving fully through her workshops what she deeply intended to do: "Giving yourself permission to slow down"

I never knew how relaxing and refreshing pottery could be. Simone took us through a mindfulness exercise, gave a soothing hot tea in the cutest ceramic cups and was such a kind, patient, supportive and knowledgeable teacher. Couldn't recommend the workshops enough!

What a beautiful experience! From the second I walked into Winterwares I felt a sense of calm and relaxation wash over me. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and it was clear that they had thought of every detail to make sure that everyone felt well taken care of. I did one of Sim’s workshop in 2018 & absolutely loved it. It was the same this time, if not better. Sim’s workshops seem to attract the kindest people. She is thoughtful and gentle, I felt completely at ease and enjoyed the moments when my mind was calm. Thank you again, Sim! 😊

We have a few Winterwares pieces in our house and I absolutely love them. They are beautifully simple, tactile and versatile. We had a few serving bowls bought for us as wedding gifts, which we were over the moon about. And this year I bought my husband and I the large coffee mugs as Valentine's presents, so we use them every morning. Fast delivery. Carefully wrapped using recyclable materials. I'm looking forward to visiting Simone's new workshop when I go to Perth next.

Perfect escapism! Thoroughly enjoyed our salad bowl workshop. Everything was perfectly curated and loved all the thoughtful touches sprinkled throughout the day. A lovely lunch, coffee and cake whilst whipping up your pottery masterpiece, can’t go wrong. Would highly recommend and would be keen to do another one for sure. Thanks Simone. Utterly gorgeous day.

Wow what an amazing experience! Simone was such a patient and knowledgeable teacher with such a beautiful studio. We took a private workshop with her and made two hand crafted cups to drink tea from. I would highly recommend to all, such a tranquil and mindful afternoon. Thank you Simone!

Simone’s workshop was like a salve for busy souls and a treat for all the senses. All the elements (for me) were there : music from a playlist that was much like my own, working in a clean, airy and light-filled space; the wonderful experience of letting go of all expectations as you create a unique and lovely piece of work under Simone’s guidance - she does this so well by stepping back and giving you what you need to create but coming to the rescue if need be, without too much intervention. A nourishing Lunch, and coffee with a delicious treat is included and was so good we all wanted recipes! Most importantly, I never felt rushed and enjoyed the slowing-down of time, movement and intention. It was a magical way to spend the day. Thank you, Simone!

I just can’t say enough about Winterwares. Sim has created such a beautiful brand, stunning line of ceramics, peaceful studio and her workshops are exquisite!

In December we had a private workshop for our team Christmas party where we each made gorgeous mugs with Sim. She guided us through the whole process from the raw clay we were working with to how it becomes our finished masterpiece. The class was perfectly curated for us and was wonderful for a fun afternoon of team bonding!

Our last class was such a lovely experience I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to celebrate my best friend becoming a mum. 14 friends gathered for another INCREDIBLE afternoon at the studio. We chatted about babies, laughed, and nibbled on snacks while our hands were busy making bowls, cups and plates. Pure bliss.

I had the most wonderful time yesterday at the Salad bowl workshop! A relaxing afternoon in what was such a beautiful workshop! I highly recommend for those looking for a chance to unwind, slow down and be in the moment! I cannot wait to see the finished product. Already looking forward to coming back to another workshop. xx

The course I did on Saturday was gifted to me by my children so I did not really know what to expect. As it turned out, I had the most wonderful day from the minute I stepped into Winterwares and met Flora and Simone, who met me with warmth and kindness. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about Mindful drawing and had a fabulous afternoon learning about ceramics, completing a mug and pinch bowsls. Just lots of fun stuff and not too technical so I felt quite adequate and not too intimated at all. A lovely lunch in the sunny garden was laid out for us with linen, pottery, wine, good conversation and delicious food. Thankyou for a fabulous day.

I had a lovely peaceful afternoon at Winterwares, making sweet clay objects and getting totally spoiled with lunch, cake, tea, good music and conversation. While Sim's guidance towards helping me make beautiful vessels and saucers was wonderful, the entire experience was exactly what I needed at the end of a hectic week. Thank you Sim, I will definitely be back!
