Rock Salt Restaurant Albany

Amazing food!!! Our family ate at rock salt twice this weekend as we were so impressed by the food. The flavours were spot on and impressive and yet well priced. A true flavour sensation!!! Highly recommend and will definitely come back next time we are in Albany!

Incredible taste and presentation, cocktails are spot on and our table was neat and tidy, with beautiful 4 ring LED lighting.

Chef Michelle was very friendly and professional, music was all reggae covers and could be of more variety but it wasn't unpleasant.

Plenty of parking but lots of roadworks around so be careful of dust when it's a windy day.

Check recent reviews as the older ones are from the previous Frenchies restaurant and bring down the ratings overall.

We arrived to find they were preparing for a private function and has cancelled reservations. But because we had booked online they honoured our reservation and it was a very private dining experience.
Rosa Parmesan - Delightful and light
Pork extravaganza - Just the right amount of spice beautiful
Cowboy Coffee Burger - Very tasty, can taste that Smokey Pattie. Could do with some lettuce or green leaf on top
Prawns - Were very good, tasty
Tiramisu - It’s very good but quite a small portion for the price
Cheesecake - Excellent. More creamy than cheese. Wife preferred to the Tiramisu

Hidden gem in Albany. The food was delicious and the service first class. Steaks and fish were cooked to perfection and nicely spiced. Luckily we ordered two deserts as they were too delicious to share (sticky date pudding).

Absolutely outstanding! The food, the service and the venues is just stunning. We had the Parmesan bread, pork, Barramundi and Tiramisu. Michelle was a fabulous host and you can see that this is a passion. Thank you 😊

Who doesn't love a night off cooking!

The newly refurbished restaurant looks great, pleasantly modern yet comfortable.
I loved the lighting.

We where greeted and served by the lovely Michelle whose service was very friendly and educated.

My children had a half serve of Lemon Herb Chicken Francaise which they both enjoyed and I had the Majestic Melon, I never knew how much prosciutto complimented melon, loved it!
Will be future favourite of mine!

We moved outside and enjoyed our dessert on the alfresco,
Sticky Dates Pudding with Butterscotch Drizzle with a glass of SB while my children played on the grass
Was a perfect ending to a delightful relaxing evening!

We will be back!
Looking forward to returning and trying the rest of the menu!

The updated Rock Salt restaurant is terrific and Michelle the host is the friendliest person, with a smile that seduces you to order yet another course! The food is unique and very tasty. We loved the atmosphere and the white table linen which is enhanced by the fascinating lights, designed by Michelle’s husband.
We are convinced that this is our new number one restaurant in Albany. The prices are reasonable and compare favourably to the other restaurants in Albany. Incidentally, drinks are not outrageously expensive and the wine menu has local wines at reasonable prices.
It is a must!

Food and drinks were amazing and the service was excellent and friendly. Super night out for our date night and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a great night out!

Great night out with hubby. Steak was cooked to perfection. Espresso Martini was fantastic to finish off the evening. Compliments to chef and waitstaff they were friendly and inviting. Best night out. Will be back soon.

We had the pleasure of indulging in Michelle’s High Tea and it was just divine. Couldn’t fault any of it : the food, the service or the atmosphere. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting a special place to dine and or celebrate an occasion. Thanks Michelle and Rosa. Loved it.

Went to Rock Salt for Sunday lunch on the recommendation of a friend and we weren't disappointed. Small menu but incredibly good food. We started with Parmesan toast and a half dozen oysters Rockefeller which were both delicious, and then we both had the barramundi as a main, equally scrumptious. Desserts were very good too and the service was quick annd attentive but not intrusive. Good wine list including several local wineries and very reasonable per glass prices. My wife said it was the best meal she's had in some time, with an amazing combination of flavours from each course. We'll be returning very soon and it's thoroughly recommended!

Our belated Valentine's Day meal was absolutely superb. The service was fantastic. It was so nice to have the Chef come out to speak to us about our meal. Thank you so very much, we will definitely be back.

The food was very good, everything was flavourful and well-seasoned. We recommend the smoked pork entrée and the decade long delight lamb shank. The meat melted off the bone on the shank and it was delicious.

Superb outstanding table service. The welcome and menu presentation was very good. Michelle Lee, owner chef was extremely helpful with her pleasant nature and great knowledge of her quisine. Our order was well received and of very high quality.
All around a good pleasant dining experience.

Called in and wow we were most impressed. We had the shrimp dish and the lemon chicken. Flavours are sensational, the use of spices and attention to detail is outstanding . Such reasonable prices for gourmet food. Do try the Parmesan bread for entree ! Wonderful friendly service this , is our new favourite place!

Wow! What an incredible food experience! We had the Pit Master's Cowboy Coffee slow smoked texas brisket burger and it did not dissapoint at all! The atmosphere is so fittiting! Highly recommend Rock Salt!

Food was amazing, the lemon herb chicken was very delicious and the cheesecake as well and definitely 10/10 with the service.
Will definitely recommend to go and of course I'm going back there. 🙂

Great service by chef Michelle and the team. Very friendly and welcoming. Food was very tasty and nice to have something different! Would suggest, be mindful of portion size as was a little small, but it was great!

I’m slow to giving 5 ⭐ reviews, however, Rock Salt is worthy of every star.

We had the barramundi and pork - outstanding. The tiramisu is also outstanding.
