Very busy but amazing turqoius see through crystal clear water, wonderful for kids to play, stunning snorkelling area if you head out of the lagoon a bit more, saw heaps of large fish and schools of fish. Puffers like to nibble on toes and feet but not to harm. Amazing beautiful scenery 😍

Yanchep Lagoon is a beautiful beach place to visit in Perth. It is a 45 min drive from the main city towards the north. The lagoon is considered safe for swimming and even for young kids. The place is equipped with functional outdoor showers and spacious indoor washrooms with separate places for showers. This place is also considered great for snorkelling and is popular among tourists. We did not see many cafe or food places near the beach but there are fast food Center options nearby. The washrooms are auto locking after 8 pm onwards and open at 6 am.

Beautiful sheltered place to relax and chill. It’s protected by the reef, so it’s safe for children to swim. Hardly any waves, so it’s more ideal for families. The visibility is crystal clear and there is a bunch of rock pools to explore. It can get packed in the weekends, so arrive early to get a park.

Absolutely gorgeous spot which provides for all ages. Family fun at no cost with snorkelling, and shallow waters for young ones. Fishing areas for the keen fisherman and plenty of beach space for the sunbakers or relax with a book. Lifeguards on duty.

One of the best snorkelled spots in Perth region. Best in mornings (windy in afternoon) at low spring tide or low water in general when swell is calm. Cafe on road above Lagoon does decent takeaway coffee

This place is absolutely stunning!!!! I could not believe how crystal clear the water was. The lagoon is a perfect little stop for people with babies to go and enjoy a bit of sun and sea. There are no waves, it’s calm and peaceful. Lots of people paddle boarding. There are toilets nearby that are clean and useable. There is no food or drink for sale nearby so be sure to pack a picnic basket to last the day.

Get there early for the best swimming and snorkelling conditions. Especially at low tide and with low wind.
Gets very busy at weekends and school holidays!

Absolutely stunning place and nice depth for smaller kids, although does get deep quite suddenly. So adult supervision is required. Parking can be an issue at busier times, but there is parking on roadside too. Highly recommend.

Yanchep Lagoon is an amazing beach. With calm waters and a family environment, it definitely changed our concept of beach day. I'm short, we loved it and will go back there as soon as possible.

Emerald waters, white soft sand, children-friendly waves. I'm grateful that Aussies are happy to share their world-class beaches free of charge. Thank you.

When you face your own true mind, getting rid off all the things that don’t serve you well. Let go of the unnecessary worries. Let the ocean wave clean the thoughts. It’s good to sit there alone and see the feelings gone.

Beautiful place to visit! The reef protects from waves, creating a shallow lagoon to swim safely.

A great beach. There's no waves, so it's a good spot for the kids. Plenty of parking, toilets, showers and a nearby cafe are a bonus!

Beautiful Beach 🏖, I visited with my friends in weekdays to witness this beautiful sunset 🌇, you can also see in my videos attached.
Beautiful place even to visit with your family, friends & children. Enough space for Parking.
Shower 🚿 and drinking water taps available on site.
Disabled ♿ parking also available.
But I guess no disabled entrance to the beach.
I'm not sure about disabled entrance but the place from where we entered was stairs and no entrance for disabled was there.
Parking on both sides of roads.
Benches to sit and to enjoy sunny day.
No rescue available. Please see pictures for safety precautions.
Indeed it was a memorable day ☺
Enjoy and please appreciate my efforts if you find my review helpful. ♥
Thank you 🙂

We visited here with 2 little humans. Parking was easy and access to the beach was straight forward. Water is much calmer than many other beaches as the lagoon is protected so the kids loved swimming!! Bring goggles to see the fish and enjoy. Public toilets available!! Recommend the Cafe as well- renovations taking place at the moment!! Enjoy!!
