Izakaya Grill

This little place was a pleasant surprise!
We were looking for a late night, last minute option for dinner on a Saturday night in the city.
It was so busy outside but inside it was really relaxed. The decor is dark and simple and just feels comfortable!
They have a good range of drinks and the food was delicious! I got the Katsu chicken and my partner got the Salmon, loved every bite and the soup just topped it off nicely.
I’d recommend this place for an enjoyable evening out.

Good service and great selection of skewers (pork, beef, chicken and duck). The miso eggplant is very nice but the chicken heart is very rubbery (that’s the only thing we didn’t like). The Sapporo Premium on tap is one of the best I have tried. Will be back again.

Yakitori/Kushiyaki (skewers; cooked on charcoal)

- Ebi (Garlic Butter Tiger prawns) x2 $5.50
- Corn on Cob x1 $9

Teppanyaki (Add on rice and miso soup x2 $4.50)
- Wild Caught Tiger Prawns (4pcs of prawns) $29
- Wagyu Striploin $63

These kind of food are the ones that are not that expensive so you keep coming back!!! I'm telling you guys THE FOOD IS SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD😭😭😭

Love the ambience , though may be a bit too noisy when busy. A little bar that offers a range of liquor. Couldn’t fault the takoyaki and the lamb chop just slid off the bones really easily. Absolutely delish. Had too many options , a little pricey but will definitely come again to try the rest of the menu.

The food at Izakaya always tastes amazing. Service is attentive and quick, with the atmosphere being comfortable and spacious with its vertically open design layout. Plus points for comfortable seats lining the edges of the rooms. 😍 For any new customers, the Wagyu is always worth trying whether it be the full bento set or skewers.

Sashimi was fresh and nice! I liked cocktails so much too. Definitely coming back.

Fantastic place to enjoy perfectly balanced cocktails and delicious foods. Be sure to book as it gets busy. A must try is the Wasabi team pot for two cocktail!

If you miss Japan come here for the izakaya feels. Chilli cheese crab and tomahawk was to die for. The yakitori was perfectly chargrilled. Try the dancing rabbit plum wine for a sweet treat. The service is good and they don't kick you out even if it's pass 12

The place where I have my Japanese food when I am in Perth... Must try! Staff is helpful, professional! Food exceptional!

Solo traveller - excellent seating in front of chef. They delivered promt and polite service. Food was amazing, I ordered the asparagus skewer, the small sushimi plate and the chicken karate side, everything was prefect!
Was here in Wednesday night and only 2 staff available, service was still prompt and quality of food was amazing.

I just wanted to write a review to say how impressed I am with Izakaya Grill. I had organised my partners 30th birthday party there for 20 people and it was seamless. Izakaya Grill made it easy to organise with extensive set menu options, lovely table setup and great communication.

On the night itself they had a long table set up inside against the blue bench seats. The staff were very attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. Everyone had a great night and you could not fault the food or the cocktails.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to host a small function or for a great night. Thanks again guys!

Food was lovely. They had the best chop sticks. I ate all my dinner with them and not one slip!

Service was great, food was delicious, after having a disappointing piece of wagyu at Rockpool, this was so much better. Varieties on menu to suit every taste bud and great selection of alcohol.

It is impossible to dine in there and not order the wagyu steak. Great ambience, lovely staff. Food not only looks great but tastes amazing, may be a little on the expensive side, but worth every single dollar. I've been there quiet a few times, never dissapointed.
