Meningie Bakery

Best bakery experience of on the 6000km trip so far!! Meningie Bakery makes an excellent curry pie filled with veggies and meat and the vanilla slice was huge and amazing - not a bad tea either… I highly recommend stopping if you’re ever checking out the Coorong.

Great country bakery, always stopping here for lunch when I’m working down this way. They have some salads and a few cakes for the gluten-free types. Good coffee and absolutely smashing vanilla slice! Staff always have a friendly smile, prompt service

Stop on this bakery during a road trip for some coffee. Great service. The coffee was really good. There are lots of food options as well. They bake them every day, so you know that it is fresh.

Nice spot to stop in when you're taking the coastal track to and from Adelaide. Be prepared for a wait because there's usually a lineup, and not surprising because it's worth stopping in here. Their selection of pies and sweets won't leave you short, there's just about something for everyone. Keep up the good work girls 👌🏻

So I stopped here a year after this photo was taken and ordered a salad roll which had almost no salad on it. So sad. This town had a great vibe but the charm has gone away this year.

Another year on! I went here today at the end of the day the staff were lovely and they gave us extra free food because they were closing! Highly recommend!

Bakery food done right! The city Bakers seem to have forgotten the art of London bun where this crew has not! I would highly recommend as you're travelling through Meningie to partake of this particular providores wares. AA+++

The Cornish Pasties were the best my wife has tasted since her grandmother used to make - 60 years ago.

We are a healthy eating family and some might say why then eat at a bakery, I say all good food is a must have in moderation, so on that note whenever we are on a journey passing through a town a bakery pit stop is a must to try and the Meningie Bakery gets a big 5 Star thumbs up from our whole family, hearty pies and a great variety of much goodness to devour, not to be underestimated and highly recommended AAA+++

Sweet place to stop over and have a bite to eat. Opposite the lake. Pie was nice they have a full range of varieties including sweet baked pastries.

Country style bakery. Only had one vegetarian baked option (which I didn't fancy) however they happily made me a curried egg roll which was very generous with its fillings. Coffees were good too. Perfect stop for lunch en route to Robe. Sat in the park across the road, very nice on the waters edge.
