Lake Albert Caravan Park, Meningie SA

This meticulously-tidy park was an absolute joy for us to spend two nights on a very large powered site looking over the lake which was about 8 metres from the back lounge of our motorhome -- just perfect!

The showers and toilets were spotless and the camp games/dining area is huge with all sorts of self-entertainment for guests.

The owners have a wonderful system of online booking and self check-in, enabling guests to choose their own site online.

The town is a comfortable easy walk along the lake's edge. There is a lovely tavern/restaurant right next to the camp, also overlooking the lake.

Having stayed nights with my RV a couple of times this year.
I will stay again. Good location.
Operators of park are good.
Amenities clean, excellent lawn sites, can-not complain.

A great caravan perk stayed in one of their Egret cabins overnight found it to be very clean and comfortable.Toilet and shower block was extremely clean and well laid out.

A beautiful, serene, relaxing park with wonderful views over the lake. Spotless amenities and well-maintained grounds. Friendly, fun and welcoming. This park is a 10/10 for this well-travelled nomad! An awesome community kitchen and recreation area is especially worth a visit. Love this park!

A wonderful little spot right on lake Albert. The grass lots are lovely and green. A perfect spot for bird watchers. Facilities were very clean.

Wow, what a view! You absolutely must get a lakeside spot, when they say lakeside they really mean it - it’s absolutely beautiful. The facilities were clean and well maintained, the lawns lush and clearly something they take pride in, the camp kitchen/entertainment area large and well set up. The laundry even has a little library which was wonderful! We will definitely be coming here often

Excellent location right on the shores of Lake Albert. Park is quiet and very well maintained.
When we arrived no one was in reception but we checked in using a touch screen which was available.
I would recommend checking in online first if you have planned this as your destination.

Very nice park ! unfortunately for me it was only overnight stay will stay again.

We didn't pre book a site but it was easy enough to do everything necessary on the screen at the office. The facilities were spotless and the park well maintained.
The location is wonderful. Right on the lake, dog park across the road and the most beautiful café right next door.

The caravan park is located at the side of the lake so you can just relax or canoe, swim,fish.
Bird life is great. Amenities are great very clean. Grass is watered so you can sit outside and enjoy the surrounds.

Fabulous park. Staff were great. Facilities were very clean. I had a waterfront site with lovely view over the lake. There's a good bar and eating house opposite and a dog park nearby that my dog enjoyed.

The only problem with Lake Albert Caravan Park is having to leave. I could happily have stayed for a fortnight's holiday. Watching the pelicans, was amazing, seeing a group of seven fishing as a group in a half circle driving the fish towards shore then all diving at once that was amazing. The black swans with 3 cygnets were serene and slowly swimming so close to shore, they were so confident in not being hunted or harassed, it was beautiful. Overall I loved the birds known and unknown, found the park quiet and spacious, with clean amenities that more than catered for the population. I didn't even get a chance to see the museum so definitely a trip back. Go, sit quietly, enjoy the peace.

The most expensive campground we have stayed at, but also ranks as one of the best. Along the water of Lake Albert. Spacious sites with lots of free space with fire pits. The kitchen is fantastic and amenities are very clean. It’s a short walk to town. There is a pad to book in so you can arrive late.

Really great park. The facilities were clean and homely. We changed from unpowered to powered for better views and the owner was more than happy to do so. The lake view was beautiful, lots of bird life. Was a bit difficult booking our stay due to no one answering the phones or being at reception.
