Yarra Glen Cafe

Nice. I arrived close to closing time and was greeted warmly. My milk shake was good as was the hummingbird cake. Indoor/outdoor available.. Later if the cafe also has giftware, local jams and relish type glide for sale. Bright and cheery travel stop.

Cute cafe. We all enjoyed our meals on the patio. I got the thai curry, and it wasn't too spicy. Recommend.

The food and service was amazing! Even though it seemed they were very under staffed being so busy the staff still made sure we were looked after! Brooke and Naomi were so nice, with a high vibe and happy energy, always checking in to see if we needed anything! Can’t wait to visit again will come back for sure.

Such a gem hidden places, This is one of best local cafe in Yarra Glen you can not missed it. Cafes in and out so colorful shops around with a pretty gardens. Friendly staffs and coffees great and massive tastey food. Nacho oven style is one of best, Try it out!

I wanted to catch up over lunch with a good friend so suggested dining at the Yarra Glen Cafe. I asked to be seated outside and we had a lovely view of the rose garden.
We were very happy with the service and our food. My friend had the Tempura Prawns with a beautiful side salad and I had the Mediterranean Tart with Salad & a beetroot relish on the side. - Delicious!! They have great coffee too! We will be back. Thanks :)

Yarra Glen Cafe has variety of cakes.
I had Strawberries and cream cheese cake.
It had a beautiful flavourful of fresh🍓 strawberries🍓Quite rich cream but not too sweet.
I would get all cakes to home if I wasn't heading to the Strawberries farm😋 They all looks delicious and full natural flavours🍋🍓🍎

Long black had a lovely deep roasted flavour and aroma. It may find too strong for light coffee drinkers but I loved it.

The building and decoration were so pretty and nice garden around the dining area.

Went after a long hot day out. They were pleasantly packed, in these covid times its lovely to see a local business busy. Needed a table of 5. Was almost turned away but thankfully a party had just left and we got a spot. Cozy spot. Cool bright homely indoors so a great escape from a 35'c day. Iced coffee with no sugar came with ice cream though.... They could have told us that. Still a great starter. We ordered seafood basket, chicken schnitzel, steak sandwich, fish & chips and corn fritters.

What impressed me was the food came out at the same time and it was piping hot. Whatever methods they have going on in the kitchen for such a place equalled a high end restaurant with proper serving etiquette. Table gets served all at once and food is freshly hot.

Portions were ideal for me but a bit much for my party. Actually it was just a lot of extra chips. The meat stuff was perfectly proportioned. My steak sandwich was... Usually with a smallish piece of steak like this, its easy to overcook and become a rubbery sole... But these guys in the kitchen did their voodoo black magic whatever and perfectly cooked it. A butter knife cut through my sandwich like.... a knife through butter. Top #1 of steak sandwiches I've ever had because it was so well cooked and the sauces and steak and bun didn't overpower each other.

The corn fritters, fish & stuff was just as good according to my companions.

Too bad we were too full and didn't stay for desserts.

Great atmosphere, friendly service from the lovely waitresses and that bloke who brought the food out (was he the owner?), and all around superb food for the casual dining experience and expectations. Total cost was $170 for 5 of us. A bit on the steep side, but worth the price. Will definitely be going back again when we're in the area.

This is such a beautiful cafe, it’s worth the travel from the city to come a have a coffee, nice meal and then an ice cream next door! My husband said the big breakfast was the best he’s had. The staff were also lovely and the old style decor made the whole experience delightful and cosy :) the owners even gave us a free ice cream for my husbands birthday! Thanks for the great experience

SUPER friendly service, a gorgeous fireplace in the dining room, beautiful ambiance paired with excellent scones and devonshire cream! Highly recommended and we will be back!

we had our lunch at Yarra Glen Cafe on a weekday after lockdown. The food was amazing, the staff were nice and friendly. We enjoyed sitting outside in the mini Rose garden which was mesmerising.

The look of the place is fantastic. My wife had the barramudi and I had the home made Chicken Kiev. Tasted fantastic. The home made chips, and the salad was fresh and great dressing. The pricing was very reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again.

A nice cafe in the centre of Yarra Glen. Awesome food and great services in a nice cafe setting.

Great coffee and ice creams .. and everything else!

We enjoyed a late Mothers Day luncheon out on the verandah at Yarra Glen Cafe and Store. Big ticks for being dog friendly. But the biggest of ticks goes to the 12 hour cook on the pulled pork burger with its crisp fresh apple slaw. Yum and more yum. He raved about the smoked trout frittata with another freshly picked salad. It's a definite stopover next time we are in the neighbourhood.

Great little cafe on the drive back from tne ranges. Food was yum, coffee was great, clean venue and friendly staff.

Gorgeous food, everything in our meals was spot on! Quaint, cozy little place. Perfect for a quiet brekky or lunch. Highly Recommend the eggs Benny. Overall, the Wife and I loved it.

Massive portions and cosy setting, with locals catching up over a meal. Could spend a while here reading the papers. They’ve also got nice quirky art for sale on their walls. Super delicious food!

Really nice food and large portion sizes. Best brekkie in town.
