Bert Dix Park Boat Ramp

Good boat ramp and very convenient when staying at Riverbend Caravan Park just across the bridge.

Nice place with great views

We stayed at Bert Dix park and boat ramp whilst on our trip to SA Riverland. It was a good facility for self contained motorhome travellers such as us, as it gave a good level area beside the river. Toilets, grassed areas, shade.
The boat ramp was barely used, but might have more use in other seasons.
However the free overnght parking has been closed for unspecified reasons, but I guess it might be because the caravan park owners nearby might have complained! NB - people such as us do not use caravan parks and with Bert Dix area closed, we will look elsewhere.

My review is from perspective of a traveler using the parking area for self-contained RVs. RV parking for a few only, depending on size. Beside a grassy parkland and overlooking Murray River. Public toilets are a couple hundred metres. Good free-stay for overnight and pub is a couple of kms if you want to eat out. Good location but very limited in space.

The boat ramp is old and the concrete walls are uneven and difficult to walk on. Also watch out for wake boat waves.
