Myrtle Bar & Kitchen

What a tucked away, surprising little gem! Its petite facade hides a beautifully presented dining establishment. Greeted by name at the door (we are not locals) was a pleasant surprise and we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely beautiful. Shared prawn entree was delightful. Brisket and eye fillet were just perfect. No steak knives or additional seasoning necessary! The bernaise sauce was amazing too. Two shared sides, everything was sized just right for two. Two cocoa pavlovas for dessert topped it off. It was the best meal we’ve had on our Great Ocean Road adventure. Well worth a visit if you’re looking for great food in a lovely environment.

What a find this turned out to be! We loved every aspect of this place, from the lovely service to the exquisite tempura soft shell crab, great steaks and mouth watering basque cheese cake. Our best oz dining experience so far. Definitely worth a detour..

Highly recommend this lovely restaurant. After four years of vegan/pescatarian diet, I have only recently ventured back to including some red meat. We visited twice over 3 say stop in Warrnambool and I enjoyed the fillet of beef and shoulder of lamb. Both dishes beautifully cooked and seasoned. As well as very tasty food, we were treated to excellent and very friendly service from hosts Paul and Moira.

We loved the Chateau Briande steak, to share. A fabulous meal, lovely hosts (Paul and Moira) and great environment. We will be back.

Absolutely fabulous! The service here is incredibly friendly and professional. They have a pretty good wine list. And the food, wow. That 60 hour cooked beef brisket just melts in your mouth. Definitely coming back.

Great atmosphere, delicious steak, and friendly staff. This place is for someone who is looking for quality steak and not thinking about $$$ as it’s a bit expensive but worth try if you into steaks.

As a Korean, we are super serious about food. And this restaurant I found brilliant for me as enfp. Super friendly and sometimes scard(joking) since staff friendly approached to me when I thinking about "I might need something else" they come to me even before I look at them. Super noiiice service with absolutely brilliant taste of food!!

Had a wonderful meal at Myrtle. On top of the perfectly cooked hanger steak, the service provided by Moira was fantastic and I will definitely be returning.

My baby daughter had a great time with the lady works there. Great service and food

This is a beautiful venue run by Paul and Moira with verve. The service was excellent, food outstanding and good value.
The Rib Steak as a share was cooked to medium rare perfection.

Amazing experience, first time for us travelling there from Melbourne, food was incredible and the lady who served us was so lovely, definitely will go there again.

Come for the steak stay for the service. The service from the time of making reservation to the time we left was professional and friendly. The hanger steak is a great option if you, like me, prefer more flavour in your cut. It was well seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Good wine list, happily surprised to see some of their offerings.

The peppercorn sauce was a bit of a let down though, rather watery without much body and I would deduct .3 of a star for this if could. Otherwise this place deserves its high ratings

If this place had sea views it would be exceptionally busy. Visited this place as it was our first time in warnambool. After wandering around various restaurants in the area we decided to try the Myrtle bar and kitchen and it didn't let us down.
Food was exceptional quality, service was top notch and well worth the higher than usual costs.
Enjoyed a full three courses together with beers, wine and cocktails. Nothing disappointed us!
Highly recommended if you're in the area.
