Stenhouse Bay Lookout Trail

An easy walk out to the view point as well as walk down to the Jetty. From the parking to the viewpoint take less than 4 mins. Hence making it easy for people who may not want to walk a lot or are unable to.

We were lucky to have a sunny viewing. This automatically ensures that the water displays its colours in a more saturated way. When this happens you are able to get some great views of the contrast between the hills and water.

There is also an anchor near the viewing point as well as a great place to grab those all important photos of family and travel buddies.

Other Points:
The parking was adequate and we did not struggle to find a parking spot. There are plenty of parking options if you just look around. There is also a place to sit at the view point if you want to grab a quick bite. It was reasonably windy so might be a good idea to carry along a thin wind jacket if you plan on doing this later in the day.

Note: better to do this in the morning as the sun will be at a better angle (behind the camera when you click the pic) to capture pictures of the jetty and people without it making your photos overblown.

A must visit in Marion Bay. It is a great start to what is sure to be a fantastic day with many more things to see including light houses and ship wrecks.

Great place. You can see the Kangaroo Island from a long distance if it’s a clear sky. Nice jetty. Good for fishing. Definitely recommend it.

Great place for fishing
