Delicious and healthy! Pay as you can cash or card! Different menus to choose from everyday. This place is kids friendly, there is a play area at the back with books, wooden toys and soft toys. All the staff were super friendly. Amazing live band. Its a whole new experience eating here!

Love the concept of how it works. They open for lunch, close then open for dinner. Each day is a different menu with whatever the chef comes up. You "donate" rather than pay for the meal whether it's 15 20 or contribute in a different way. It's more of a honesty system. Their coffee is also not bad with oat/almond/soy alternatives.

One of the best food and customer service in Melbourne. This place definitely deserves shout out, love, respect and some generous contributions from patrons. I love that the food is vegan, and a fascinating fusion of South-Indian- Sri Lankan and Continental. Love this place and many kudos to all the volunteers, staff and management running it with grace and making people come together over the healthy deliciousness they deliver. Thank you

The food is yummy and the concept is gorgeous. Basically you pick up your food — main and desert, all vegan food — and pay for as you can. We usually pay $10 pp in order to help others less fortunate. But really there is no pressure for that — you do as you can in the day. The service is all volunteers who do a great jobs to serve and entertain you. We never had a bad day eating there. We are specially fond of the curry and massala.the place also serves great coffee (you pay separate) and the crowd is really open minded and friendly.

Food was delicious and pay as you eat option is great for those who can pay it forward and those who may not be able to afford a meal. Apple crumble was sweet and nice. Lasagne was very hearty and creamy for a vegan place. Recommend!

Really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. Delicious vegan food, friendly staff, wonderful artwork and decor and I greatly respect their humanitarian and environmental mission. We ordered the curry which was actually three different curries served with veggie rice, poppadom and vegan yoghurt as well as the apple cake with strawberry cream and syrup. All very tasty. We will definitely return.

This place is just the best. Definitely is a must visit, if you haven't been. The people here come from all walks of life, helping each other survive in this crazy world. Go check it out and maybe you can also help somebody with a meal or two as well😂

Love everything what I ate. Mushroom soup, Curry, deep fried tofu. The coffee was very good as well. very unique concept of restaurant.

A community with an amazing concept. This Thornbury one is my favourite Lentils, the volunteers are a mix of local and international people which is like a big family. The chefs are amazing making delicious vegan food.
Also check the Inconvenience Store, try the smoothies bike!
A magical place where it's so easy to talk and connect with people.
Please contribute as you can, if you couldn't pay that much, volunteer is a great way you could also meet a lot of beautiful people.

Have been to this place a few times now, the food is actually very good, at quite a high standard. The atmosphere is also great, kinda hippy meets functional. I was presently surprised as we have eaten at the convent LAA and it has never been food to recommend.... just edible but we liked the concept and location. This LAA is a whole other animal, delicious food and a good balanced menu, kombucha etc and cocktails in the evenings.

The whole experience was amazingm, this place is very artsy combined with musics, and the food is very yummy

Really enjoyed the vegetable curry here, very tasty. Great atmosphere. Will come again.
