We make an annual pilgrimage to the Kentish every year when the Cricket is on and it never disappoints. Family owned and run, they have mastered good service, great food and the art of making people feel special. Menu has been constructed to cater for those who are up for a big meal and also those who just want a share plate while they have a few wines. Beautiful building with lots of history has been tastefully furnished to allow lots of seperate areas where you can have privacy and quiet conversation. Caters to big bookings well with the rear "Barn Like" area, and smaller groups in the restaurant. Already looking forward to our return next year. (Mia was outstanding, Ryan needs to pay her more).

I catch up with friends after the work week and mostly go through the red wine selection, which is excellent. I've had the arancini bites and cannot find any fault in the dish. Staff are quick and attentive. The vibe is quite lively, even during mid-week at times. A lovely pub with lots of seating - at the restaurant, at the front bar, at the backyard and also out on the area outside of the pub.

This pub just gets better and better. Great selection of beers and what great food too.

I can't recommend this place enough... date night for myself and hubby to be.. and it was our first ever time here.

As soon as we walked in, there was a welcoming vibe and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we entered. The dining room was timeless and modern, we loved the gin bottle decor, we then checked out the beer garden and it looked amazing. Can't wait to have a drink out there at some stage.

The meals were tasty, beef schnitzel and chicken schnitzel were ordered and we honestly couldn't fault a thing.

My birthday is in a couple weeks and we will be attending again with some friends in tow.

Our date nights are rare, but this place made it memorable...

A classic pub feel with some unique takes on standard pub food. Well cooked and delicious consistently. Great environment for a weekend lunch spot. Service is standard and works well. Good drinks selection on tap.
Even though food portions have decreased in size slightly over the last year it's still delicious and an enjoyable experience overall.

Visiting from NSW. Lovely old building. Friendly helpful staff. Quite busy for a Monday night which shows it's a good place. Beautiful decor. Awesome courtyard. Plenty of dining space inside, out the front and in the courtyard with heaters. We had a yummy snack of sharing starters washed down with scotch and beers.

Really like it here, excellent lunch and dinner menu.
The wine list is 10/10.

Wow, what a hidden gem 💎 of a hotel. Stunning dining and atmosphere coupled with brilliant customer service and smiling staff.

Visited for a birthday dinner last night so went back for lunch today.

The salmon is epic and recommended by the waitress was the beef vindaloo.

Today we had three taste plates being the pork and chive dumplings, the chicken stay and the Korean spicy chicken wings.

Lastly do not go past their in-house Kentish shiraz

Beautiful place, amazing food, me and my girls had a good time on Friday night.

We had 6 dishes from the 'Bites' menu - just like having tappas. Every dish was delicious & it was great to have a taste I lots of different things, prawns, scallops, dumplings, pickled octopus, lamb koftas & stay chicken skewers. Highly recommend you try the bites menu. Our server was very helpful & super friendly. Definitely coming back 😊

Overall was excellent, staff were great, perfect breeze outside and surprisingly first ever time out at a restaurant with a blackout for a short time. Food was great and first restaurant non Asian that can make dumplings well. Keep up the good work.. :)

The Kentish Hotel is a lovely pub tucked away in North Adelaide. It has various dining sections all of which are really comfortable. The food is great. Quality pub food. Staff are lovely and even when it's busy they're smiling. The Kentish has a lovely vibe about it.

I've been here a few times since the last review. The food has been great everytime. The service also has been warm and welcoming which has brought me back a few times.

The venue has undergone a nice reno since the last time I was there.

The staff were happy and helpful. The food was good but not amazing. They only have one gravy which I thought was pretty poor.

The only real disappointment was that we all ordered under the same table number, but there was a 10 minute wait between meals coming out which meant my food was cold by the time my friends arrived.

I would go back.

Brilliant service. Very caring staff and make you feel so welcome and comfortable. The food was excellent. Well cooked steak. The Pork Cheek was new to me and was sensational! Great pub atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Amazing old pub with lots of charm and style in a stunning location. I really enjoyed my visit at the Kentish. Food was excellent. Lovely and friendly service. Parking can be a little difficult.

Great pub in North Adelaide serving up a menu relevant to the seasons and pub favourites. Outside dining is perfect for yourself and your 4 legged friend. Casual and formal dining available inside. Great local crowd.

A great pub hidden away on a backstreet in a lovely setting in North Adelaide, just off Melbourne Street. A wonderful place to sit out the front, have a beer and just admire the nearby historic cottages and beautiful trees and gardens. Worth the effort to make a trip here. Good range of beers and wines, with a garden out the back and big wine room / shed that looks very enticing when it gets cooler. The residents of the area must be chuffed to have this as their local.

Currently they have a happy hour from 3-5pm weekdays and 4-6pm on weekends it seems. Plus other events and deals.

Absolutely the best lamb rack we've had.

Paired with one of Henschke's finest shiraz, it was the ideal meal to see out 2023.

Lamb was cooked perfectly with charred broccoli, roasted chap potatoes and a lovely creamy red wine juz accompanying the star of the show. 5 🌟

Great service from the two girls who looked after us for the evening in a very welcoming atmosphere and perfect setting.

Do yourself a favour and go there for dinner and a few beers.

Had a function there. Easy to deal with, awesome service, food and staff. The function area is a really good to have presentations, networking or even celebrations.
