Beautiful escape for weekend. Located in foothills of Dandenong ranges this place has got some amazing views. Peaceful, however nothing much to do here , just scroll around cafes and shops in this small town and then you can probably head towards Olinda , approx 20 min drive from here.

Amazing park. Playground, multiple BBQs, close to shops, some pretty awesome events get hosted there throughout the year too.

Great little park opposite the basin shops. I usually go here to play Pokemon Go as there are a few Pokemon Gyms here and quite a few pokestops. It's a pleasant park with lots of seating, an ampetheatre and place to host bands etc, a big playground and amenities like clean public toilets, BBQs etc. situated there as well is the local scout hall, RFS and community hall it's a good place to go and relax. Highly recommended

The basin triangle is a really amazing little place. There is a small stage area that is perfect for hosting small concerts and for the music festival that happens every year. It's a really nice space of nature that can be enjoyed by anyone at anytime. There is a nice playground there that I have fond memories of and the triangle is large enough to host things like small markets. Overall I love that it has been left to nature and isn't consumed by shops, it would really take away from the strong community of the basin

Stopped here for a bite of cool water melon. Park was well maintained. Shady trees and play ground for children.

Used to think of The Basin as a dodgy place but it certainly has changed. Lovely group of shops and fantastic coffee cafes. Has a cool vibe now. Park was fab for the kids, interactive play equipment, sand buckets attached etc toilets are modern and clean. Just a really lovely quaint village now

Great playground with good range of equipment for various aged kids, plenty of room and tables and chairs, enough shade for warmer weather. With 6 toilets including parents changing toilets and various options for snacks or lunch across the road very good option for letting the kids expel some energy. Wish the toilets had seats instead bare metal and hand soap, but toilet paper on the seat and hand sanitizer solves that.

Awesome little park. Very popular with the locals. Could do with more shade over the play areas.

This is a great community area, a sound stage for the summer, a good kids playground, several electric bbqs. and some good coffee shops opposite. Cyclists set off from here to punish themselves riding up to The top of the hills and down again. A nice Village

Great area to have a BBQ and bring the kids.
One of the best Baker's across the road and a great stop off if you are heading up the Mountain Hwy or coming back down.

Love this space for kids. Great Park and quick trip across the road to a bakery for lunch, a few cafes for good coffee and an invigorating trip up the hill to Sassafras and Olinda.

The Basin Carols run by the local fire brigade were a great use of this space. Most enjoyable and thanks to the brigade.

A lovely park with plenty to do. It could use more shaded areas, however. Make sure you bring a hat and sunscreen for this reason.

Awesome park.... If you have a kids party there, just clean up your mess and don't leave left-over food everywhere.

Great spot with wide open space for kids to play, bbq facilities and plenty shade in the grass area for picnic on the green

Great place to drink your take away coffee for those still afraid to sit in the cafes. It also has bathrooms.
