Famous Hot Pot

Famous Hot Pot is one of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne. This hot pot has fantastic soup bases, generous servings of meats, and a solid variety (and amply filled) buffet of vegetables, seafood, hot pot classics and sauces.
Whether you pop in for lunch or dinner (different pricing and time allowance for hot pot buffet) you won’t be disappointed.
If doing hot pot buffet, which is all I’ve ever done on my many visits there, everyone at the table has to do the buffet. (So know before you go!)
You cook your selection at your table, so go slow and steady and avoid having food leftover that will be weighed, and that you will be charged for.

This is the 4th time I experience hotpot here. All foods are so good with soup base. Nice staff. Great service and airy atmosphere.
Highly recommend you guys must try tomyum soup which is so tasty.

Went with my two friends and absolutely loved it. Both my friends are non veg and I’m vegetarian and I was surprised to see so many vegetables etc for veg diet. Love this place …. The Tom yum soup base was super delicious…. Loads of varieties ….Be back soon! Love love love

Stopped for lunch with my son today. We both tried a hotpot for one - he, the lamb hotpot with spicy broth; I had the Famous Hotpot for one with clear broth. Both were delicious, with plenty to satisfy your appetite. Price was well worth what you get, Will definitely be back and can highly recommend to all! They have other dishes too, if you're not into hotpot or want a change as well.

All of things here are good. The staff is very friendly. How a wonderful place to enjoy Hotpot!!!

The restaurant is very delicious, eating very well for a long time, with many natural toppings and beautifully presented. There are seafood dishes, vegetables and desserts such as tea and fruit. The restaurant is spacious and airy and the staff is very friendly.

Been coming to famous hotpot for a while with friends and work colleagues, always have fresh food and great selection of veggies and other ingredients to chuck in the soup. You order the meat from the staff but it'd all banquet so as much as you can eat

Absolutely a delightful place for lunch. As we were short on time, we had their special lunch menu instead of the hot pot. Everything we ordered was very well cooked, and I highly recommend the Hong Kong style roll rice noodle! This is vegetarian.

I really like the ambiance of the restaurant, and look forward to try out their hotpot next time. Thank you!

Update: Prices had gone up since but food is still delicious!

This is not our first time, we went there again last night for dinner, ordered a buffet which we can eat anything from the buffet bar as much as we can and also many of the foods on the menu. Love the broad variety of veggies, they are so fresh. We picked the pork bone and the clear soup base, I almost finished drinking them all at the end of the meal. The place is clean, beautiful decorated and the atmosphere is lovely. The staff are super attentive. Highly recommend for people like hotpot.

it have the chinese herbal soup which so delicious, perfect for those who don’t do well with spicy.

Delicious all you can eat hot pot! So many vegetarian options which was great for me. Staff were very accommodating and we got to eat so much food for less than $50. Will come back, thanks!

🌟Highly recommend of their “Marinated Beef“ “Beef Ball“ & “Mushroom Meatball“. They give meat very generous, once you order they delivery very quickly.

Under $40 can enjoy the 2hours hotpot with quality food, including seafood, meat, veggies, fruit, desserts, juices and etc. it’s very good value and enjoyable😊

The ingredients are fresh, the seafood and meats were good quality and just the right amount of fat to make it tender and flavoursome. The soup base tasted just right and they topped up the soup with good stock, not water like some places. There are a lot of variety too. The service was attentive, nice atmosphere, and the aircon was really nice on a hot day like today. Really a nice meal at a good price, only $36.50 for all you can eat, can't fault anything. I will be back. Keep up the good work Famous hotpot!

Love this place! Food is fresh and tasty, and the service is so helpful and friendly. Drunken chicken soup base is really good.
It’s the go to for a weekend lunch, we seriously go here every other week. Get the buffet and have the marinated beef you won’t be disappointed.
