Mary Mackillop Place

What a gem. Stumbled across Mary MacKillop Place when an emergency meant that I was looking for accommodation at 11pm. Staff are very friendly, helpful and able to find a room within a few minutes.
Accommodation is renovated, clean, tidy, thoughtful. Lovely surprise that breakfast is included provided the price of the accommodation. Great location - easy to get around. Special thank you to Andres at front desk for going the extra mile. Will certainly be back.

This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in this price range. Spacious room. Everything inside the room perfectly thought of. Friendly staff. Very close to the downtown. Bus stops are 5 mins walking from the hotel. I am going to stay here again if I happenes to visit Sydney again.

The new accommodation is exceptional and such a serene environment in a bustling city. Unfortunately due to an 0800 work commitment unable to attend mass at the beautiful chapel so cannot wait to return with my family and share the experience.
Simple free breakfast a bonus and plentiful, better than 5 star hotel continental offering.

My partner stayed here while travelling to Sydney. We chose the place for the good price but will definitely book again, for her or the both of us when in Sydney, due to the excellent service, clean and tidy room and free brekkie. Provided bag storage when you checkout, which is great for anyone going to the US consulate down the street as you’re not supposed to being anything inside.

Friendly welcome from staff. Helpful when I wanted to store luggage as I was too early for the 2pm check-in time.

Highly recommend this place, particularly if you are looking for somewhere peaceful, friendly, clean, well serviced. Beautiful gardens to walk around and sit quietly in. Great continental breakfast. I might even say this place could be restorative. A word of warning though, if you are travelling by train, the walk to Mary Mackillop Place, although only just over 300km, is all uphill!

As a single traveller I found Mary Mackillop Place a great place to stay. You couldn't find better for the price especially as it included a lovely breakfast. It was very clean and peaceful. Only a 5 minute walk to the train station so getting into the CBD from there was simple. I highly recommend Mary Mackillop place.

Beautiful location with surrounding gardens and in close proximity to North Sydney Train Station. Rooms are clean and adequately appointed. Friendly staff and 24Hr reception makes this place a plus, recommended.

This property is underrated. I would highly recommend this place for budget stay in North Sydney. Close to station and coffee , cookies and small kitchen to warm foods are free for guest. Highly recommended.

Named after Mary Mackillop, early educator, a woman whose vision and tenacity and community saw her make enduring contributions to Australian life, educational life, religious life, women's livelihood, and lines of authority within her community.

There are so many spots where you can sit and deepen your spirituality as you contemplate the achievements of Australia's first saint and the wonderful people who have participated in bringing to fruition the vsion of Mary and Julian
