McIvor Estate

The newly renovated and reopened McIvor Estate is absolutely stunning, with a gorgeous new cellar door making the most of the beautiful views of the vineyards and rolling hills. The wines are fabulous and the chocolate matching is amazing! Highly recommended and we can’t wait to go back!

Great place to spend an afternoon. Excellent hosts who provide a beautiful vista to enjoy their wines and cheeses. We tasted a selection of reds and whites and my favourite was the merlot.

MacIver Estate was a delightful experience. The wine was fantastic, in particular the Vermentino and Sangiovese, especially the soft cheese paired with it. The diverse cake selection, Japanese style chocolate and coffee were a pleasant surprise. Oh, and the views? Absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommend it!

I recently visited McIvor Estate and was thoroughly impressed with their selection of wines. The 2015 vintages, particularly the vibrant and the aromatic Cabinet Sauvignon, were standout experiences. Each wine speaks to the estate's dedication to quality and the rich Heathcote terroir. A must-visit for any wine enthusiast looking for exceptional flavors and a warm welcome. Newly renovated cellar door with impeccable vibes.

Went up on a Saturday and met the new owners Simon and Eunji. Simon is a tremendous host and we got to try almost all the wines (their flagship Genovese I think is my current favorite followed closely by the 2019 merlot). The nama chocolate (raw chocolate) partnership is a winner, definitely don't skip this as its an incredible pairing with the wine, and Eunji makes all of the sweets of which the basque cheesecake is out of this world.

We had a great time enjoying the picturesque location framed by the cellar doors large windows, and the fun extended outside into the afternoon.

Will definitely be back!

Great experience, great wine, seriously amazing views at this beautiful hidden gem! Why travel to the Yarra Valley when there are wineries like this!

If you're passionate about wine, you need to stop here. Absolutely gorgeous winery nestled in a valley between granite boulder covered hills and a peaceful creek nearby. Their wines are sublime - their 2015 Shiraz drinks amazingly well, their 2015 Cabernet has notes of roasted capsicum and then there's the 2013 Super-Tuscan which is just angelic and I'd highly recommend it as it's a steal for that price.

If you're talking to Simon, you should ask about their non-labelled "secret" wine; If you're a fan of the Burgundy style, they have something special for you, but you have to ask nicely.

I recently had the pleasure of exploring McIvor Estate Winery, and it was an unforgettable experience. Their wine selection was exceptional, with standouts like the Vermentino, Rosato, Sangiovese, and their exquisite Super Tuscan blend. Complementing the wines, the French cheese platters were a delightful treat. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit, especially to indulge in the Cannoli and the inviting chocolate tasting plates that caught my eye at neighboring tables. The winery's landscape, with its stunning rolling hills dotted with granite boulders, was uniquely breathtaking.

Great pasta and wines. Well worth a visit. A smaller winery that’s great for kids to run around and for a relaxed lunch or get together. There wines have won a lot of awards. Delicious!

If you're passing through the area you must stop at McIvor - great setting with lovely wines and very generous and hospitable hosts.
